Benz C-CLASS RES installation process
Section 1： Preparation of installation
1. in advance, pls prepare setting tools, sleeve, Phillips screwdriver, flat-blade
screwdriver, electrical tape, plastic crow plate.
2. before dismantling, pls make a necessary protection, pack the gear handle and
other items which are easily scratched with cloth.
3. when in the process of dismantling, put a rubber pad under the tools when prying
and pressing, in order to avoid any damage to inner decoration.
4. before installation, make sure the original audio system is in good working
condition, if there is fault, remember to take troubleshooting for audio system
before RES installation.
Section 2： Precautions
1. in process of installation, make sure the correct connection of each cables, in
order to avoid any unnecessary loss.
2. with a view that there are a lot of dismantling parts and plugs, remember to keep
them well for smooth installation.
3. keep the disassembled parts for future use.
4. install the RES when engine off.
5. power supply could be only connected when installation finishes.

Part 4：dismantling process introduction:
1. dismantle the back-cover of front seats (including left and right)
(1) in order to avoid any damage to original seat leather
during installation process, pls do remember to use seat
cover to protect original leather seat
(2)
this is the photo of seat with cover

it’s necessary to cover the both front seats, as well as
the center console
(4)
use the plastic crow plate to pry the seat back-cover from
left bottom, to release the clip buckle
(5)
after pry the clip buckle of left bottom, go on to use the
plastic crow plate to pry the right bottom
(6)
after pay the left and right bottom clip buckle, pull out
the back-cover of seats towards down
2. dismantle the left side door waterproof adhesive tape and doorsill plaque.
(7)
pull out the waterproof adhesive tape with hands before
dismantling the doorsill plaque
(8)
after pulling out the waterproof adhesive tape, pry out
the doorsill plaque with flat-blade screwdriver
(9)
take out the doorsill plaque
3. dismantle the cigar lighter
(1) draw back gear handle leather sheath with hands
(2) after drawing back the gear handle leather sheath, pry out
the clip buckle of myrtus from right corner with plastic
crow plate.
(3)

take out the two (left & right) screws of cigar lighter
with T20 wrench
(5)
take out the cigar lighter after removing two screws
(6)
draw out the power supply plug of cigar lighter
Part 5：installation process instructions
(1)
pass the RES video cable through original headrest fixed
pipe casing
(2)
pass the RES power cable through original headrest fixed
pipe casing
(3)
clip the RES fixed support on original headrest pole
(4)

use RES support fixed buckle to fasten RES support on
original headrest
(6)

(7)
match the headrest base support to headrest slot, and draw
down to cover the RES support
(8)
meanwhile draw down the video cable and power cable
(9)
RES has been fixed on the support
(10) after fixing the RES, connect the power cable and video
cable to patch cord
(11) bind the ready-connected video cable and power cable
with ribbon
(12) RES video cable and power cable are already at the seat
bottom
(13) organize the video cable and power cable to cigar lighter
position
(14) connect RES ACC cable to cigar lighter ACC cable in
yellow
(15) connect the RES GND ground wire to cigar lighter GND
cable in brown.
(16) after well connecting the power cable, recover the cigar
lighter of center console.
