Set up Thunderbird for IMAP mail

With the help of this user guide, you can configure Thunderbird for the use of your University email
account on a Linux computer.
Configure Thunderbird
1) Select “Edit” and then “Account Settings”
2) Select “Add Mail Account”

3) The screen as shown below will appear
Please fill in the following information in the “Mail Account Setup” and then press “Continue”
Your name:
Email address:
Password:
Surname, Initials
Your department Email address
Your ULCN password

4) Thunderbird will try to auto configure your email, however this will fail.
Please check and correct the following settings and press “Done”
