Recommendations • It is recommended that wherever possible ISO standard symbols with text be used rather than using the Main manufacturers’ ownDisplay symbols. Where the required symbol is not available as a standard, the manufacturer should seek to influence the ISO standard to include a new symbol. • Symbols need to be tested with users in context.
