User Manual Thank you for buying Jakit®, the unique smartphone accessory that combines hard case and retractable, noise-cancelling in-earphones. Please read this manual carefully and retain it for future use. Jakit® Controls: 4 1 5 2 3 1 iPhone on/off switch To switch your iPhone 4 ON and OFF. Gently hold down until your phone comes alive, or hold down to shut down your phone. 2 Jakit function button When your earphones are activated this button becomes active. Click the button ‘Once’ to play or stop, ‘Twice’ to forward the song and ‘three times’ to reverse the song. 3 Retraction switch Slide down and hold until the earphones are fully retracted. Please dispose of it responsibly! 4 Retractable earphones. Gently grip the ear buds and pull to extend the earphones to activate the earphones switch the lever to the left. 5 Earphone on/off switch Slide the switch to the left to use the earphones, to the right to switch them off. Getting Started 1 Remove the Jakit® from its packaging and separate the two pieces. Hold your iPhone with the jack socket to your left and screen facing you and carefully slide the larger of the two Jakit® sections over the top of your iPhone. Next, carefully slide the smaller of the two Jakit® sections on to the bottom of your smartphone so that both pieces meet and then clip them together. 2 With your Jakit attached, your iPhone is now ready for the full range of uses you purchased it for with the added functionality of the Jakit. Remember, because of itsunique jack, you need never take your Jakit® off again…ever! 3 To switch the in-earphones on, simply slide the switch on the back of your Jakit® to the left.(Button marked 5 on diagram) 4 To switch the in-ear phones off, slide the switch on the back of your Jakit® to the right (Button marked 5 on diagram) 5 If you want to pair up with an in-vehicle Bluetooth system – or any other Bluetooth enabled device – ensure that the in-ear phones are switched to off. 6 Whilst holding the Jakit® with one hand, use the finger and thumb of the other hand to grip hold of both magnetically-connected in-ear phones. Slowly and steadily extend the cable to a comfortable length and it will lock automatically, then separate the in-earphones for use. 7 Before inserting the in-earphones into your ears, ensure that the volume level on your iPhone is not set too high. (Consistently high noise levels can lead to hearing loss) 8 When you have finished listening through your in-earphones, stick the backs of the in-earphones together -they will connect magnetically. Now you are ready to stash them. 9 Slide the small retraction button (Button No 3 on diagram), located on the right hand side of the Jakit® when the screen is facing you, and hold. The in-earphones will now automatically retract. Release the button when fully retracted and in the rest position. Guide the earphones to sit gently in the Jakit®. Do not retract without holding the magnetically connected earphones, and allow your hand to follow the retraction of the earphones, all the way to their resting position in the top of the Jakit case, or you may cause permanent damage For Your Safety Safety Information Unpacking and installation: Please read this user and product guide: Reading this guide will ensure proper and safe use of your Jakit® earphones. Choking hazards: This product is not suitable for Children under 12 years Please keep out of reach of babies and small children due to risk of swallowing and choking on small parts To avoid choking and possible suffocation, please ensure that the in-ear phones are not wrapped around your neck. Hygiene: To ensure the product remains clean and hazard free, the in-earphones should be cleaned on a regular basis using a propriety wipe or damp cloth. It is recommended that they are cleaned on a weekly basis. Driving: Make sure you aware of the laws of any State when using your Jakit® in-earphones.
