The purpose of this manual is to present the user how to operate this application Platform Alloy is intended to run in Symbian operating system Version 8.1 on a handset Nokia N70 Installation 1. Download file Alloy.sis 2. Using the file Manager locate the same file and execute User’s Manual To launch the application: 1. Push the menu button in your handset’s key board 2. Click on “My Own” icon 3. Click on Alloy Icon 2 List View (People and News) People Once launched Alloy, the first screen that will show up is the List View of people. This list presents the list of contacts of the user. To add a user to the favorites list, 1. Push the Options button 2. select “Add to Favorites” from the menu To get help 1. Push the Options button 2. Select the “Help” option from the menu 3 News To access the news push the button labeled as options. Select the option News from the menu. This screen presents the list of RSS feeds to which the user is subscribed. To access the content of a news feed (RSS feed) 1. Push the joystick’s action button in your handset when the desired news feed is highlighted. To highlight a different news feed 1. Push the buttons up or down in the handset’s joystick To update the news feeds.. 1. Push the button labeled as “Options” 2. Select Update News from the menu 4 To add a news feed to the favorites list, 1. Push the Options button 2. Select “Add to Favourites” from the menu To get help 1. Push the Options button 2. Select the “Help” option from the menu To go back to people 1. Push the Options button 2. Select People from the menu Conversational View (People and news) This screen appears after selecting a contact or a news feed in the list view. Select “Back” from the menu Favorites List This screen shows the items (people or news feeds) that has been selected by the user as favorites To access the favorites view 1. push button “*” in the handset’s keyboard History view This screen shows the most recently visited Items To access the History view 1.
