Sideshift Bearing Service
1 Remove attachment from the truck as described in
Section 5.1
2 Remove clevis pin from head/base end of the
Sideshift cylinder.
3 Inspect the upper bearing thickness. If either one
is worn less then .06 in. (1.5 mm) thick on the back
surface, replace both bearings.
4 Inspect the lower bearing exposed thickness. If the
exposed thickness is less than .06 in. (1.5 mm),
replace both bearings.
5 For reassembly, reverse the above procedures except
for the following instructions:
• Clean the upper and lower bearings and bearing
surfaces.
• Locate the upper bearings in the anchor bracket
cutouts. Be careful not to install the bearings
backwards.
• Check the upper mounting hook capscrew torque.
Double torque to 166 ft.-lbs. (225 Nm).
