YM-2000™ Assemblies and Functions
Assembly
Function
1
Gear Motor
•
Provides the mechanical energy for the switching action
2
Gearbox
•
Transfers the power of the motor to the clutch via a worm gear
mechanism
3
Contactors
•
Control the energizing of the motor
•
Actuated by cams/switches on the clutch housing
•
Connects the output shaft of the gear motor to the crank shaft
4
Clutch
•
Allows the switch points to shift without damage to the gear motor
during a trailing move
5
Crank Shaft
•
Transfers the power from the gear motor (via the clutch) to the
operating crank
6
Operating Crank
•
Connects the crank shaft to the switch-operating rod
7
Brake
•
Prevents the motor from turning when it is not energized
8
Motor Brake
Release
•
Releases the electromechanical brake on the gear motor so the
motor may turn freely (e.g., for manual operation)
•
Actuate the motor control and indication switches
•
Mounted on the external housing of the clutch
•
Adjustable
•
Prevents frost and condensation formation on the electrical
contacts
•
Used for manual operation of the switch machine
•
Attaches to the motor armature shaft extension
•
Functions as the attachment point for the hand crank
•
Located beneath the motor brake release
•
Contacts the underside of the mounting lug to prevent overtravel of
the operating crank
•
Mounted on the back of the operating crank
