5.1.2.10 Automatic Drain Valve
The automatic drain valve automatically
discharges precipitated moisture from a reservoir with
each operating cycle of the control device.
5.1.2.11 J air filter
The J-air filter function
to assist in preventing the
passage of dirt and moisture
which may be mixed with the
air flowing from the main
reservoir into the air brake
equipment.
5.2
MAINTENANACE OF THE VALVES
5.2.1 Cleaning, Inspecting andRepairing
•
With the brake valve completely disassembled, all
parts must be cleaned and inspected.
•
All the parts (excepting rubber parts) must be washed
in a suitable solvent that will dissolve oil or grease
and permit all the parts to be thoroughly cleaned
without abrasion. The exterior of the body must be
thoroughly cleaned by means of a cloth or rag
saturated with a suitable solvent.
•
All Gasket, Diaphragms, and "O" rings must be
replaced.
All Packing rings should be replaced.
