The paper pick assembiy is a paper pick device that generates its
awn normai force which is inherenfi in the fundamentai design of the
pick arm. 5 fight media is used; {he paper pick assembiy picks very
gentiy; if a heavy mezfia is used, it picks very aggresssiveiy.
The spring pressure of the device is designed so the input torque
from the meter produces movement about the pivot of the arm
causing a downward force at the pick roii. The friction between the
pick mi! and the paper produces a frictionai locking condition. The
arm must pivot freefy through its fut: range of motion. If the pick
assembéy is noisy, repiace the paper pick assembty.

1. Open the access cover.
2. Remove the accent cover
3. Remove the right exit tray base
4. Remove the right CGVEEF.
5 A Unlatch the two cfips at the fear at the maintenance station and
siide the assembly fnrward, out of the printer.
Maintenance Wipers and Caps Removai
1. Open the access cover,
2. mssh the carrier to the 58% away from the maintenance aiation.
3. Remove the acczem saver.
4. Remove the right exit tray base.
5. Remeve the right csver.
8. Remove the wipers and caps.
Note: Be sure the wipers are ccsmptetefly seated;

5. Remove the maintenanzze station assembiy.
6. Unhoox the springs from the smaii feed rowers.
00f■ Remove the smai! feed roiiers by uniatchmg them from the feed
roifier hoider.
8. Remove the mid~f{ame assemmy.

1. Remove we we rear screws securing the phom cmtmiier base
to the printer base.
2. Remcve the screw securing the photo controiier is the center
cover.
3.
Uniatch {he Eatch securing the photo controiier cover to the rear
of the printer base.
. Stide the phota coniroiier assembiy to the Sex‘: off the printer
base.
Note: when repiacmg the phoésa comtrofier board, the printing
atignments wifi be resef to factory defauéts. The user shouid be
instmcied to perfornH%1e"A¥ign Cartridge“ pmceciure to
zmtimize phota printing.
