Owner’s Manual Permobil C300 Maintenance and Repairs Rear battery 1. Place the wheelchair on a level surface. 2. Turn off the main power switch on the control panel. 3. Lift the chassis cover rear edge so that the rear battery cover comes free. 4. Remove the rear battery cover by pressing its guide lips straight out on both sides and then lifting it upwards/backwards. 5. Loosen the battery terminals. Also see the sticker on the chassis rear battery cover. 6. Lift/pull the battery out using the battery strap. Lift the chassis cover rear edge. WARNING Observe care in the use of metallic objects when working with batteries. A short-circuit can easily cause an explosion. Always use protective gloves and protective eye-glasses. The batteries are heavy and must be handled with care. Remove the rear battery cover by pressing its guide lips straight out on both sides. WARNING Used or broken drive batteries should be taken care of in an environmentally correct manner in accordance with locally applicable recycling directions. 7. Lift/push the new battery in to the chassis using the battery strap. 8. Connect the battery terminals on the new battery. Also see the sticker on the chassis rear battery cover. 9. Remount the rear battery cover. 10. Remount the chassis cover 63 Battery terminals.
