Owner’s Manual Permobil C300 Handling Manual Handling of the Magnetic Wheel Locks The wheel locks can be released in order to make it possible to move the wheelchair manually. Release the wheel locks 1. Shut off the wheelchair using the start button on the control panel. 2. Press the release lever backwards, and pull it out from the chassis at the same time, see the picture. The chair can now be moved manually. Engage the wheel locks Push the release lever into the chassis, see fig. Location of the release lever. WARNING Do not engage or disengage wheel locks unless power to the chair is off. In order to avoid the wheelchair rolling away, ensure that the wheelchair is on a level and dry base before releasing the wheel locks. Release the wheel locks Be aware that the chair will not have brakes when wheel locks are in the free-wheel position. Make sure that the person pushing the chair has full control when wheel locks are disengaged. Always reset the wheel lock release after manually moving the wheelchair. NOTE When the wheel locks are released, the chair will not drive. If it does, contact your Permobil serviceman as soon as possible. Engage the wheel locks 49
