You can modify the time to suit your personal taste and style of cooking, and for the types of ingredients used. Foods such as lentils and beans should be soaked in water before cooking. It is not necessary to defrost frozen vegetables or small fish. For large fish and frozen foods, increase the cooking time by a few minutes. Food that is cooked a little more than normal might lose its color due to the steam. Cooking time will depend on the size and amount of the food being prepared. 20 21
