Intended purpose The hair and beard trimmer is intended exclusively for trimming human hair. Only use the device for dry hair. The device is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial purposes. The device must only be used indoors. Foreseeable misuse WARNING! Risk of material damage! Do not use the device to cut artificial hair or animal hair. 2. Safety information Warnings If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these operating instructions: DANGER! CAUTION: low risk: failure to observe this warning may result in minor injury or material damage. NOTE: circumstances and specifics that must be observed when handling the device. The device, the cable and the power unit must not fall into water or other liquids and must not be rinsed under running water. If the device has fallen into water, pull out the power unit immediately, and only then remove the device from the water. Do not use the device again, but have this checked by a specialist. Should liquid enter the device, have it checked before starting the device up again. If the device is used in a bathroom, the power unit must be pulled out after use, as the proximity of water represents a hazard, even when the device is switched off. Installation of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recommended to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation should only be carried out by a qualified electrician. DANGER! Risk of electric shock • • • • • • • • Never put the device into operation if there are visible damages to the device, the power unit or the cable or if the device has been dropped before. Connect the cable to the device before plugging the power unit into a wall socket. Only connect the power unit to a properly installed, easily accessible wall socket, the voltage of which corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate. The wall socket must continue to be easily accessible after the device is plugged in. Ensure that the cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot surfaces. Ensure that the cable is not trapped or crushed. When removing the power unit from the wall socket, always pull the power unit and never the cable. Pull the power unit out of the wall socket … … after every use, … after each charging process, … if there is a fault, … before connecting the device to the cable, … before you clean the device, and … during thunderstorms. September 2012 9:29 21 DANGER from batteries • • • • • • Protect the batteries against mechanical damages. Fire hazard! Do not expose the device to direct sunshine or heat. The ambient temperature should not be lower than -10 °C and higher than +40 °C. The charge contacts on the device must not be connected by metallic objects. The batteries may only be charged with the original accessory (power unit). The batteries only removed for disposal must not be used again. Should the electrolyte solution leak out of the batteries, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation. WARNING! Risk of cut injuries • • • The tips of the comb attachments and shaving head are sharp. Handle with care. Do not use the device if the attachment shows damages. Switch off the device before pinning up or changing the attachments and each time before cleaning. WARNING! Risk of injury • • Place the cable in such a way that no one trips over it or steps on it. Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn or blisters. WARNING! Risk of material damage • • • • • 6 Only use the original accessories. Never place the device on hot surfaces (e.g. hob plates) or near heat sources or open fire. Do not cover the power unit to prevent overheating. The blades of the shaving head may only be cleaned with medical alcohol. Do not use any water or other liquids. Charging NOTES: • The batteries of the hair and beard cutter reach their maximum power after they have been charged and discharged three times. Before the device is used for the first time, and during the following three charging procedures, the device should be charged for 12 hours in each case. • When the batteries are almost flat, the charging indicator changes colour from green to red during operation. The device can then only be used for a short time without being connected to the electricity supply. 1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch5 if necessary. 2. Connect the power unit to the connector7 of the device. 3. Insert the power unit into a readily accessible wall socket whose voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating plate. 4. The charging indicator6 flashes red and the batteries are charged. When the batteries are fully charged, the charging indicator flashes green. September 2012 9:29 21 5. Operation Regardless of the charging state of the batteries, you are always able to use the hair and beard trimmer with the power pack. 1. In order to use the power pack, ensure that the device is switched off. 2. Connect the power unit to the connector7 of the device. 3. Insert the power unit into a readily accessible wall socket whose voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating plate. 4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch5. 5.1 Pushing on/removing the comb attachments WARNING! Risk of injury! Switch off the device before replacing or changing the comb attachments. Pushing on • In order to attach a comb attachment, push this over the guide rails on the side of the device onto the comb attachment fastener4, until it is heard to click into place. Removing 1. Figure A: to change the comb attachments, turn the device onto its back. 2. Figures B/C: push the comb attachment1 upwards together with the slider10. Push the comb attachment carefully upwards with moderate force using your thumb and index finger beyond the side locking pins. The comb attachment is released from the comb attachment fastener4. 3. Remove the comb attachment. 5.2 Cutting hair NOTES: • The hair to be dressed must be dry. • The cutting length may deviate depending on the cutting angle. • • 8 Place a sheet or cape around throat and neck to prevent cut-off hair from dropping into the collar. September 2012 9:29 21 • • • • • • • First, start with a comb attachment with a longer cutting length and then, in the course of the cutting process, use shorter cutting lengths step by step. Adjust the cutting length with the slider10 and read off the cutting lengths on the marker8 on the side of the comb attachment1. Start by cutting the hair in the neck or on the sides and cut towards the centre of the head. Then, cut the front section of the hair towards the centre of the head. Hold the device in such a way that the comb attachment lies as flat as possible on the head. Move the device evenly through the hair. If possible, cut against direction of hair growth. In order to catch all the hair, move the device several times through each section of the hair. Comb the hair repeatedly and well. In order to achieve a straight cutting line for cutting lengths over 20 mm, the device should be passed through the hair several times from different directions. 5.3 Thinning hair Use the thinning function to reduce the volume of the hair without changing its length. • Push the slider3 to the left. The thinning function integrated into the shaving head9 is extended upwards. 5.4 Cutting hairlines and beard WARNING! Risk of injury! The points of the shaving head are sharp. Handle with care. • • Adjust the cutting length with the slider10 according to the desired hair length and read off the cutting length using the marking8 on the side of the comb attachment1. Now, shorten your beard step-by-step. Use the device only with the shaving head and without comb attachment9, to cut hair very short or to cut beard and hairline. Pull the power unit out of the wall socket before you clean the device. WARNING! Risk of injury! Always switch off the device before cleaning it. WARNING! Risk of material damage! • The blades2 of the shaving head9 may only be cleaned with medical alcohol. Do not use any water or other liquids. Oil the blades as described in the following chapter. • Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents. NOTE: Clean and oil the device after every use. • • Remove the comb attachment1. Rinse the comb attachment with water and let it dry before reattaching it to the device. Wipe down the housing of the device with a damp cloth. Cleaning and oiling the shaving head 1. Figure D: remove the shaving head9 from the device by pressing it with the thumb towards the rear. 2. Remove the hair remnants from the shaving head by using the cleaning brush included in the delivery. 3. Clean the blades2 of the shaving head9 with medical alcohol (not supplied). Do not use any water or other liquids. Let dry the shaving head. 4. Apply a few drops of the supplied oil to the blades2 of the shaving head9 and spread it out evenly. Using a soft cloth, wipe off the surplus oil, if necessary. Only use acid-free oil, such as e.g. sewing machine oil. 5. Figure E: guide the lug of the shaving head9 under the edge of the housing and press the shaving head downwards onto the blades until it is heard to lock in place. 10 GB __GRA78917_B7.book Seite 11 Mittwoch, 5. September 2012 9:29 21 7. Disposal The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products identified with this symbol may not be discarded with normal household waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electric and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protect the environment. Packaging When disposing of the packaging, make sure you comply with the environmental regulations applicable in your country. Removing the batteries • • • • • • This device is operated with two rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride batteries, which you must remove before disposing of the device. You must be technically minded to remove the batteries, otherwise there is the danger of injuring yourself. If you do not have any experience with tools, you should have the batteries removed by a person who is qualified to do this. DANGER from batteries! Ensure that the batteries are not damaged as you remove it. Fire hazard! The removed batteries must not be disassembled. Never short-circuit the batteries. The contacts on the removed batteries must not be connected by metallic objects. The batteries may overheat and explode. Only remove the batteries to dispose of the device. The device is destroyed by removing the batteries. Never try to operate a disassembled device. 1. Disconnect the device from the mains. 2. Switch on the device and let it run until the batteries are empty. 3. Figure D: remove the shaving head9 from the device (see “Cleaning and care” on page 10). 4. Figure F: use a Phillips screwdriver to release the 3 screws on the back of the device. 5. Figure G: use a screwdriver to lever open the side seam and unfold the two halves of the housing apart. Figures H+I: press the black fastening clips carefully away from the sides of the board and remove the board from its fastening. 7. Figure J: release the connections between the batteries and the board with a pair of pliers/wire cutters. Remove the exposed batteries. Take the batteries and the device separately to suitable disposal. The nickel-metal hydride batteries used for this device may not be treated as household waste. The batteries must be disposed of properly. Contact battery distributors or local waste disposal points for this. NiMH 8. Okolna temperatura ne smije biti niža od -10 °C ni viša od +40 °C. Kontakti za punjenje na ureaju ne smiju biti spojeni s metalnim predmetima. Punite baterije iskljuivo originalnim priborom (mrežnim utikaem). Ne smiju se ponovno koristiti baterije koje treba zbrinuti nakon korištenja. Rukovanje Brija za kosu i bradu možete neovisno o stanju punjenja baterija u svakom trenutku koristiti u nainu rada s prikljukom na mrežu. 1. Kod rada s prikljukom na mrežu pobrinite se da je ureaj iskljuen. 2. Mrežni utika spojite s prikljukom7 na ureaju. 3. Utaknite mrežni utika u lako dostupnu utinicu napona koji odgovara podatku s tipske oznake. 4. Vaenje baterija • • • • • • Ovaj ureaj pokreu dvije punjive nikal-metal-hidridne baterije koje trebate izvaditi prije zbrinjavanja ureaja. Kod vaenja baterija potrebna je odreena mjera vještine, jer bi u protivnom moglo doi do ozljede! Ako nemate iskustva u rukovanju alatom, prepustite zadatak vaenja baterija osobi koja bi to mogla struno obaviti. OPASNOST od baterija! Pazite da pri vaenju ne oštetite baterije. Opasnost od požara! Baterije koje ste izvadili ne smije se rastavljati. Nikada nemojte kratko spajati baterije. Kontakti na izvaenim baterijama ne smiju biti spojeni s metalnim predmetima. Baterije se mogu pregrijati i eksplodirati. Izvadite baterije samo kada zbrinjavate ureaj. Kada se baterije izvade, ureaj više nije funkcionalan. Nemojte ponovno upotrebljavati rastavljeni ureaj. 1. Protejai aparatul de umiditate, picturi sau jeturi de ap. Nu atingei aparatul dac avei mâinile ude. Temperatura mediului nu trebuie s coboare sub -10 °C i s nu dep easc +40 °C. Contactele de încrcare ale aparatului nu trebuie s fie unite cu ajutorul obiectelor metalice. Încrcai acumulatorii numai cu accesorii originale (cablu de reea). Nu pot fi refolosite bateriile scoase pentru reciclare. Dac din acumulator curge soluie electrolitic, evitai contactul cu ochii, mucoasele i pielea. Cltii imediat zona afectat cu mult ap i consultai un medic. Soluia electrolitic poate cauza iritaii. AVERTIZARE de rnire prin tiere • • • Vârfurile seturilor de piepteni i ale elementului de tiere sunt ascuite. Folosii-le cu atenie. Nu folosii aparatul cu un set de piepteni deteriorat. Deconectai aparatul înainte de fixarea sau schimbarea setului de piepteni cât i înainte de fiecare curare. Încrcarea OBSERVA II: • Acumulatorii aparatului de tuns prul i barba ating puterea optim dup trei cicluri de încrcare i descrcare. Înainte de prima utilizare cât i pentru urmtoarele trei, aparatul se încarc de fiecare dat câte 12 ore. • În momentul în care acumulatorii sunt aproape descrcai, indicatorul nivelului de încrcare se schimb pe durata funcionrii, din verde în ro u. Aparatul va fi funciona pentru scurt timp independent de reea. 1. Oprii aparatul cu ajutorul butonului de pornire/oprire5. 2. Legai cablul de reea cu mufa7 la aparat. 3. Introducei cablul de reea într-o priz accesibil, a crei tensiune corespunde cu cea indicat pe tblia modelului. 4. Indicatorul de control al încrcrii6 pâlpâie ro u i acumulatorii se încarc. Utilizare Aparatul de tuns prul i barba, conectat la reea, poate fi folosit independent de starea de încrcare a acumulatorilor. 1. Pentru utilizarea aparatului conectat la reea asigurai-v c acesta este oprit. 2. Legai cablul de reea cu mufa7 la aparat. 3. Pornii aparatul prin intermediul butonului de pornire/oprire5. 5.1 Fixare/Îndeprtare a setului de piepteni AVERTIZARE pentru rniri! Deconectai aparatul înainte de fixarea sau schimbarea setului de piepteni. Fixare • Pentru fixarea unui piepten îl împingei pe inele de culisare laterale ale aparatului în direcia elementului de fixare4, pân când se aude un sunet de blocare. Îndeprtare 1. Îndeprtai pieptenul. 5.2 Tunderea prului OBSERVA II: • Prul care urmeaz a fi tuns trebuie s fie uscat. • Lungimea de tiere poate fi diferit în funcie de unghiul de tiere. • • A ezai un prosop sau pelerin în jurul gâtului i al cefei pentru a împiedica ptrunderea firelor de pr în guler. Reglai lungimea de tiere cu ajutorul cursorului10 i citii lungimile de tiere ale pieptenului1 pe marcajul lateral8. Începei tunderea din zona cefei sau lateral i continuai ctre cre tet. Ulterior tundei prile din fa în direcia cre tetului. inei aparatul în a a fel încât pieptenul s stea cât mai lipit de cap. Trecei aparatul prin pr în mod uniform. Pentru obinerea unei linii de tiere drepte la lungimi de tiere de peste 20 mm, aparatul va fi trecut prin pr de mai multe ori din direcii diferite. 5.3 Subierea prului Utilizai funcia de subiere pentru reducerea volumului prului, fr a modifica lungimea acestuia. • Împingei cursorul3 spre stânga. Funcia de subiere integrat în elementul de tiere9 este scoas în sus. 5.4 Tunderea contururilor i a brbii AVERTIZARE pentru rniri! Vârfurile elementului de tiere sunt ascuite. Folosii-le cu atenie. • • Reglai lungimea de tiere cu ajutorul cursorului10 dup lungimea dorit i citii lungimile de tiere pe marcajul lateral8 al pieptenului1. Scurtai barba treptat. Utilizai aparatul fr piepten numai cu elementul de tiere9 pentru tierea foarte scurt a prului sau a brbii i a contururilor. În acest mod putei tia regulat lungimi de 1-2 mm. La demontare avei grij s nu distrugei acumulatorii. Pericol de incendiu! Acumulatorii demontai nu trebuie dezmembrai. Nu scurtcircuitai niciodat acumulatorii. Contactele acumulatorilor demontai nu trebuie s fie unite cu ajutorul obiectelor metalice. Acumulatorii se pot supraînclzi i pot exploda. Demontai acumulatorii numai în cazul eliminrii aparatului. Prin demontarea acumulatorilor se distruge aparatul. Aparatul dezasamblat nu mai poate fi pus în funciune. 1. Decuplai aparatul de la reea. 2. Pornii aparatul i lsai-l s funcioneze pân se descarc acumulatorii. 3. Imaginea D: Îndeprtai elementul de tiere9 de pe aparat (vezi “Curare i întreinere” de pe pagina 38). 4. Preluai acumulatorii acum liberi. Eliminai în mod corespunztor separat acumulatorul i aparatul. Acumulatorii nichel-hidrur metalic utilizai la acest aparat nu se arunc la gunoiul menajer. Acumulatorii trebuie eliminai în mod corespunztor. Adresai-v pentru aceasta la comercianii de acumulatori cât i la punctele de colectare. NiMH 8. Soluionarea problemelor În cazul în care aparatul nu funcioneaz în mod corespunztor, parcurgei mai întâi aceast list. Poate este doar o mic problem pe care o putei soluiona dumneavoastr. Reparaiile necesare dup scurgerea termenului de garanie se fac contra cost. Aufladen HINWEISE: • Die Akkus des Haar- und Bartschneiders erreichen ihre optimale Leistung nach 3-maligem Laden und Entladen. Laden Sie vor der Erstanwendung sowie für die folgenden 3 Ladevorgänge das Gerät jeweils 12Stunden auf. • Wenn die Akkus nahezu leer sind, wechselt die Landekontrollanzeige im Betrieb von grün auf rot. Das Gerät ist dann nur noch kurze Zeit netzunabhängig betriebsbereit. 1. Schalten Sie ggf. das Gerät mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter5 aus. 2. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit dem Anschluss7 am Gerät. 3. Für den Netzbetrieb stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist. 2. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit dem Anschluss7 am Gerät. 3. Stecken Sie das Netzteil in eine gut zugängliche Steckdose, deren Spannung der Angabe auf dem Typenschild entspricht. 4. Schalten Sie das Gerät mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter5 ein. 5.1 Aufstecken/Abnehmen der Kammaufsätze WARNUNG vor Verletzung! Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, bevor Sie die Kammaufsätze aufstecken oder wechseln. Aufstecken • Zum Aufstecken eines Kammaufsatzes schieben Sie diesen über die seitlichen Führungsschienen des Gerätes auf die Kammaufsatzbefestigung4, bis er hörbar einrastet. Abnehmen 1. Bild A: Zum Wechseln der Kammaufsätze drehen Sie das Gerät auf die Rückseite. 2. Bild B/C: Schieben Sie den Kammaufsatz1 mit dem Schieber10 nach oben. Schieben Sie den Kammaufsatz mit mäßigem Kraftaufwand mit Daumen und Zeigefinger vorsichtig nach oben über die seitlichen Verriegelungsstifte hinaus. Der Kammaufsatz löst sich aus der Kammaufsatzbefestigung4. 3. Nehmen Sie den Kammaufsatz ab. 5.2 Haare schneiden HINWEISE: • Das zu frisierende Haar muss trocken sein. • Die Schnittlänge kann abhängig vom Schnittwinkel abweichen. • • 80 Legen Sie ein Tuch oder einen Umhang um Hals und Nacken, um zu vermeiden, dass Haarreste in den Kragen fallen. September 2012 9:29 21 • • • • • • • Beginnen Sie zuerst mit einem Kammaufsatz mit einer längeren Schnittlänge und verwenden Sie im Verlauf des Schneidens stufenweise kürzere Schnittlängen. Verstellen Sie die Schnittlänge mit dem Schieber10 und lesen Sie die Schnittlängen seitlich am Kammaufsatz1 an der Markierung8 ab. Beginnen Sie den Haarschnitt im Nacken oder an den Seiten und schneiden Sie Richtung Kopfmitte. Schneiden Sie danach die vordere Haarpartie in Richtung Kopfmitte. Halten Sie das Gerät so, dass der Kammaufsatz möglichst flach am Kopf aufliegt. Führen Sie das Gerät gleichmäßig durch das Haar. Schneiden Sie, wenn möglich, gegen die Wuchsrichtung des Haares. Um alle Haare zu erfassen, fahren Sie mehrmals mit dem Gerät durch eine Haarpartie. Kämmen Sie die Haare immer wieder gut durch. Um bei Schnittlängen über 20 mm eine gerade Schnittlinie zu erzielen, sollte das Gerät mehrmals von unterschiedlichen Richtungen durch das Haar geführt werden. 5.3 Haare ausdünnen Verwenden Sie die Ausdünnfunktion, um das Haarvolumen zu reduzieren, ohne die Haarlänge zu verändern. • Schieben Sie den Schieber3 nach links. Die im Scherkopf9 integrierte Ausdünnfunktion wird nach oben ausgefahren. 5.4 Konturen und Bart schneiden WARNUNG vor Verletzung! Die Spitzen des Scherkopfes sind scharf. Gehen Sie vorsichtig damit um. • • Verstellen Sie die Schnittlänge mit dem Schieber10, je nach gewünschter Haarlänge und lesen Sie die Schnittlängen seitlich am Kammaufsatz1 an der Markierung8 ab. Kürzen Sie Ihren Bart nun stufenweise. Verwenden Sie das Gerät ohne Kammaufsatz nur mit dem Scherkopf9, um Haare sehr kurz oder Bart und Konturen zu schneiden. HINWEIS: Reinigen und ölen Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch. • • Nehmen Sie den Kammaufsatz1 ab. Spülen Sie den Kammaufsatz mit Wasser ab und lassen Sie diesen trocknen, bevor Sie ihn wieder auf das Gerät setzen. Wischen Sie das Gehäuse des Gerätes mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch ab. Scherkopf reinigen und ölen 1. Bild D: Drücken Sie den Scherkopf9 mit dem Daumen nach hinten vom Gerät ab. 2. Entfernen Sie Haarreste mit der mitgelieferten Reinigungsbürste vom Scherkopf. 3. Reinigen Sie die Schneiden2 des Scherkopfes9 mit medizinischem Alkohol (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten). Verwenden Sie kein Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten. Lassen Sie den Scherkopf trocknen. 4. Tragen Sie wenige Tropfen des mitgelieferten Öls auf die Schneiden2 des Scherkopfes9 auf und verteilen Sie es gleichmäßig. Wischen Sie ggf. überschüssiges Öl mit einem weichen Tuch ab. Verwenden Sie nur säurefreies Öl, wie z.B. Nähmaschinenöl. 5. September 2012 9:29 21 7. Entsorgen Das Symbol der durchgestrichenen Abfalltonne auf Rädern bedeutet, dass das Produkt in der Europäischen Union einer getrennten Müllsammlung zugeführt werden muss. Dies gilt für das Produkt und alle mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichneten Zubehörteile. Gekennzeichnete Produkte dürfen nicht über den normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden, sondern müssen an einer Annahmestelle für das Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden. Batterien ausbauen • • • • • • Dieses Gerät wird mit zwei wiederaufladbaren Nickel-Metallhydrid-Batterien betrieben, die Sie ausbauen müssen, bevor Sie das Gerät entsorgen lassen. Für das Ausbauen der Batterien benötigen Sie etwas handwerkliches Geschick, ansonsten besteht Verletzungsgefahr! Sollten Sie keine Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Werkzeug haben, sollten Sie den Batterieausbau einer Person überlassen, die diesen fachgerecht ausführen kann. GEFAHR durch Akkus! Achten Sie beim Ausbau darauf, dass die Batterien nicht beschädigt werden. Brandgefahr! Die ausgebauten Batterien dürfen nicht auseinandergenommen werden. Schließen Sie die Batterien niemals kurz. Die Kontakte an den ausgebauten Batterien dürfen nicht durch metallische Gegenstände verbunden werden. Die Batterien können überhitzen und explodieren. Bauen Sie die Batterien nur für die Entsorgung des Gerätes aus. Durch den Ausbau der Batterien wird das Gerät zerstört. Nehmen Sie ein zerlegtes Gerät nicht wieder in Betrieb. 1. Bild H+I: Drücken Sie die schwarzen Befestigungsclips an den Seiten vorsichtig von der Platine weg und entfernen Sie die Platine aus ihrer Befestigung. 7. Bild J: Lösen Sie die Verbindungen der Batterien zur Platine mit einer Zange/ einem Seitenschneider. Entnehmen Sie die freiliegenden Batterien. Geben Sie die Batterien und das Gerät getrennt zur geeigneten Entsorgung. Die mit diesem Gerät verwendeten Nickel-Metallhydrid-Batterien dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll. Die Batterien müssen sachgerecht entsorgt werden. Wenden Sie sich dazu an den batterievertreibenden Handel sowie die kommunalen Sammelstellen. NiMH 8.
