5. Installation
5.1 Fitting the micro filter to the dryer
In order that the adsorption media can
be protected from dirty compressed air, a
micro filter type MS6-LFM must be fitted
to the inlet of the dryer. When the dryer is
supplied from the factory the three inlet
possibilities are on the left-hand side
of the dryer (see arrows). If the inlet on
the righthand side is required, then the
multiport manifold in the cover of the dryer
must be turned (see chapter 5.4).

Select inlet opening.
If necessary, remove the blanking
plug and fit it onto the unused inlet.

Place a greased O-ring 2 into the
groove of inlet 1.

Fasten the module connector plate 3
with a hollow screw 4 of width A/F
10 (with PDAD-…y) or A/F 14 (with
PDAD-…½) to the inlet. The tightening torque is max. 15 Nm (with
PDAD-…y) or max. 18 Nm (with
PDAD-…½). The module connector
plate 3 must be turned 90° if the
dryer is to be installed in a horizontal
position.
