＜ Steps for eSATA connection＞
RAID（eSATA）→ PC（eSATA）
① Get the eSATA Cable inside the package connecting it between BR256 and the host.
② To use web-based monitor, connect Ethernet cable between LAN connector and host.
③ Connect AC power cable and turn on power switch at rear panel of BR256.
Turn on the host computer power and start the operation.
Warning !
Signal quality is different on SATA ports of motherboard. If you used SATA-eSATA
conversion cable with BR256, it might cause issues of recognition, transmission
or hot-plug. In that case, you might want to try the other SATA ports (as closed as
its chipset or controller) to see if the issues were gone. To assure stability and
reliability, it is recommended to use native eSATA ports or eSATA from a host bus
adapter.
＜ Steps for USB2.0 or USB 3.0 connection＞
① Turn on Host computer
② Connect USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 cable tightly between BR256 and host computer
③ To use web-based monitor, connect Ethernet cable between LAN connector and host
④ Connect AC power cable and turn on power switch at rear panel of BR256.
Turn on the host computer power and start the operation.
※Do not connect both USB2.0 or USB3.0 and eSATA at the same time while file system is running
