Important Safeguards When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury, these basic safety precautions should always be followed: • This appliance is intended to be plugged in a 240v outlet only. Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel that you are familiar with the appliance. • Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts. • To protect against the risk of electric shock, DO NOT IMMERSE the motor end of this appliance, cord set or plug in water or any other liquid. • Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hair, clothing and utensils away from the appliance while it is in operation to avoid damage to the appliance and injury to persons. • This appliance is not intended for use by children or infirm persons without supervision. Never leave an appliance unattended when in use. • Do not add ingredients to the cup while the appliance is operating. • • Children should be prevented from playing with the appliance. Ensure the cup is properly in place before operating the appliance. • • Operate on a dry level surface. Operating on sinks, drainboards or uneven surfaces must be avoided. Care should be taken when handling this appliance as it contains a sharp mixing blade. • Do not use this appliance with an extension lead. • Switch off the power outlet and remove the plug when the appliance is not in use; before assembling or disassembling parts; and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the power outlet. Never pull the cord. • DO NOT MOVE this appliance when it is in operation. • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug; after the appliance malfunctions; or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Ensure the packaging of this appliance is disposed of properly. Keep plastic bags away from babies and children. • The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electric shock or injury. NEVER reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off the power outlet and unplug the appliance immediately. • Do not switch this appliance on without the cup in place. • Do not use outdoors. • Do not tamper with the cup-interlocking switch. • Store the unit indoors in a dry location. • Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. • Do not operate or place any part of this appliance on or near any hot surfaces (such as a gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven). • Do not misuse the cord. Never carry the appliance by the cord or pull to disconnect it from the outlet. Instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. • Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. This product is intended for household use only.
