As with inner joins, we can specify the outer join condition with USING or ON, or if we know the columns to be joined share the same name we can use the NATURAL keyword to leave the join condition to the server, e.g. SELECT MENU_ITEM_NO, MENU_ITEM_NAME, CHECK_DETAIL.* FROM MENU_ITEM NATURAL LEFT OUTER JOIN CHECK_DETAIL Which again returns the same results as the first left outer join example because the shared column is the same as that specified in the first USING clause, MENU_ITEM_NO. 21
