7. Starting, operation

Mechanical connection
„„ Remove the protection cap only just before installation and absolutely avoid any damage to
the diaphragm during installation as well.
„„ When mounting the instrument, ensure that the sealing faces of the instrument and the
measuring point are clean and undamaged.
„„ For process connections please see data sheet 8013360.
„„ Use appropriate sealings for the process connection in use
„„ Hygienic design typically requires a self-emptying set-up such that no product residues
remain at the pressure transmitter upon draining the equipment.
