The local SQL Engine runs on the client workstation of a user, not on a server. Note If you configure both Local Usage and Remote Usage settings to On, the client tries the remote engine first, then tries the local engine. It also tries Scalable SQL first, then tries Btrieve if all the requester settings are enabled.
