Example OUTREACH MAX / OUTREACH LITE applications 1. Delivering 20 watts to a PoE Plus device over 300 metres (984 feet) More than one OUTREACH Max ma y be connected i n s eri es to extend PoE a nd Ethernet for s evera l hundred metres . In the exampl e above, Vera ci ty's OUTSOURCE PLUS i njector i s us ed to a dd enhanced PoE Pl us ca pa bi l i ty to a regul a r unpowered network port. Two OUTREACH MAX uni ts are l oca ted 100 metres a nd 200 metres from the s wi tch, a l l owi ng a PoE Pl us wi rel es s acces s poi nt to be i ns ta l l ed up to 300 metres from the power s ource. 2. Extending an unpowered network connection to 200 metres (656 feet) The combi na ti on of Veraci ty's OUTSOURCE enhanced PoE i njector and OUTREACH LITE Ethernet range extender del i vers a s i mpl e a nd rel i abl e mea ns to extend LAN cabl i ng beyond i ts 100 metre l i mi t. By connecti ng a s i ngl e OUTREACH LITE a fter 100 metres of ca bl i ng, the connecti on from network s wi tch port to wa l l outl et ma y extend up to 200 metres . OUTSOURCE del i vers power to the OUTREACH LITE, a nd ma y be conveni entl y l oca ted nea r the network s wi tch. 3. Combining OUTREACH LITE and OUTREACH MAX to deliver an unrestricted network connection beyond 200 metres For extendi ng data -onl y connecti ons , where no PoE i s requi red for the end devi ce, a combi na ti on of OUTREACH MAX and OUTREACH LITE ma y be us ed to i ncreas e ra nge beyond 200 metres . The OUTREACH MAXes forwa rd both da ta and PoE from the PoE s wi tch to the powered devi ce, whi ch i n thi s cas e i s the OUTREACH LITE. The total di s ta nce from s wi tch to outl et i n the exa mpl e i s up to 400 metres (1316 feet). Unres tri cted 100Ba s e-T ful l -dupl ex (total ba ndwi dth 200Mbi t/s ) connecti ons of up to 2200 metres (7218 feet) between power s ources are pos s i bl e us i ng thi s method. 4. Versatile network expansion with distributed PoE using OUTREACH QUAD In thi s exampl e an OUTREACH MAX i s us ed to forwa rd enha nced PoE Pl us power to an OUTREACH QUAD PoE-forwa rdi ng s wi tch, l ocated up to 200 metres from the network s wi tch and OUTSOURCE PLUS i njector. The OUTREACH QUAD extends the PoE a nd network connecti on a further 200 metres to a n IP camera us i ng OUTREACH MAX, a nd provi des a PoE network port for a VoIP phone, pl us an a ddi ti onal two network connecti ons for other devi ces or for connecti on to a l ocal network.
