Printing files 221 Fig. 260. Page Setup dialog box The Page Setup dialog box allows specification of the format of the data on the page. You can also choose whether to print: • all the records in the active window (If a filter is active, only the records that match it will be printed. If the data is sorted by a field which occurs multiple times in a record, that record will be printed once for each occurrence of that field.) • the current record in the active window Margins can be specified in either inches or centimeters. If you turn off the option to start each record on a new page, records will be printed continuously with a gap between each. Headers and footers can contain text, as well as a set of special printing codes which allow the inclusion of items such as the file name, date, record marker, etc. The printing codes are casesensitive and must be preceded with an & (ampersand).
