Reconnect the upper water outlet hose and secure with existing clamp. CAUTION: It is highly recommended to pour antifreeze into the intercooler and exhaust manifold. Failure to do so, may cause severe damage to these components. CAUTION: Use only undiluted antifreeze (100% concentration). The premixed antifreeze available from BRP is NOT suitable for this particular application. Its concentration will be reduced when mixed with remaining water trapped in water jackets. NOTE: When available, it is recommended to use biodegradable antifreeze compatible with internal combustion aluminum engines. This will contribute to protect the environment. NOTE: The engine will not have to run during this operation but should have been ran before, to exhaust as much water as possible, from cooling system components. Battery Contact your authorized Sea-Doo dealer. Engine Cooling System Antifreeze should be replaced every 200 hours or every 2 years to prevent antifreeze deterioration. The antifreeze replacement and a density test should be performed by an authorized Sea-Doo dealer. CAUTION: Improper antifreeze mixture might allow freezing of the liquid in the cooling system if vehicle is stored in area where freezing point is reached. This would seriously damage the engine. Failure to replace the antifreeze for storage may allow its degradation that could result in poor cooling when engine will be used. 116 Bilge Cleaning The following steps should be performed to provide the watercraft enhanced protection. Clean the bilge with hot water and detergent or with bilge cleaner. Rinse thoroughly. Lift front end of watercraft to completely drain bilge. Anticorrosion Treatment Wipe off any residual water in the engine compartment. Spray XP-S Lube or equivalent over metallic components in engine compartment. WARNING Do not lubricate the DESS post. Lubricate the throttle cable with XP-S Lube or equivalent. Drive Shaft Corrosion Protection To give additional protection to drive shaft against possible corrosion in salt water conditions, it is recommended to bring the watercraft to an authorized Sea-Doo dealer for proper lubrication. Final Steps If any repairs are needed to body or to the hull, contact your authorized Sea-Doo dealer. For paint touch up of mechanical parts use BRP spray paint. Apply a good quality marine wax to the body. The seat and the seat extension should be partially left opened. This will prevent engine compartment condensation and possible corrosion. If the watercraft is to be stored outside, cover it with an opaque tarpaulin to prevent sun rays and grime from affecting the plastic components, watercraft finish as well as preventing dust accumulation. _____________________
