Welcome to White Medical’s latest brochure.
Who we are
White Medical are a family owned and run business, based in the Midlands.
Chris and Jane White started the company in November 1995 and worked tirelessly to introduce digital
blood pressure monitors into the NHS and replace the mercury sphygmomanometer.
White Medical is a specialist supplier of diagnostic medical devices. We have never tried to be all things to all men
and have focused on what we are good at. We know the products we sell! We supply, service and support! Not only
do we support the products but we also support our customers; from putting the batteries in the right way round
all the way up to installing software.

The quality standards that White Medical have are UKAS accredited
ISO9001:2008, ISO13485:2003 & ISO14001:2001
These standards illustrate that White Medical‘s management systems are in place and audited annually by
independent certification bodies. They ensure continued compliance and are recognised for their excellence.
Servicing and Warranty
All the details are at the end of the brochure but without going into too much detail, customers need to have a place
where their devices can be serviced and their calibration checked. We can perform this service and have been
trained by the manufacturer. In the rare occasion that a warranty claim is put forward we deal with it ourselves to
turn the claim around and get the device back to the owner asap.

CALIBRATION VALIDATION:
All automatic (oscillometric) monitors should be calibrated within 2 years of purchase, and yearly thereafter. (This is subject
only to the manufacturers’ own specific recommendations). Manual sphygmomanometers also need to be checked;
mercury devices checked annually and aneroid devices twice a year. White Medical can carry out calibration validations
with a UKAS calibrated specialised test machine, either at their premises in Rugby or at the customer’s site, on request.
All types of monitors (digital, mercury & aneroid) can be tested. BPM’s sent into White Medical are subject to a standard
charge, which includes the calibration validation, function check & minor repairs; (for major repairs we will contact you
prior to carrying out any work regarding the extra cost). With off-site calibration validation the cost will be dependent on
the number of monitors and the travelling distance. Our Certification of the calibration validation procedure importantly
provides the customer with added protection for Liability Insurance purposes and any other potential legal claims. In this
context, White Medical adheres to the advice laid out by MHRA who issued Medical Device Alerts (December 2005 and
July 2006) together with a Device Bulletin also in July 2006, all of which relate to Blood Pressure Measurement Devices.

WARRANTY & SERVICING:
White Medical has a fully functioning Service Centre, and also an Omron warranty centre, to cater to the requirements of
the NHS. We can service and carry out repairs on most small diagnostic products specialising in BP monitors, nebulisers
and thermometers. For non-warranty repairs you will be notified of the cost prior to our carrying out any repair work. All
products come with a manufacturer’s warranty, beginning from the date of purchase and is a replacement/repair warranty.
This is only subject to normal wear and tear; but wilful mishandling and other reasonable exclusions are not covered by
the warranty, as detailed in the manufacturer’s instruction manual, a copy of which is supplied with every machine. Please
note that the unit should not be disassembled or repairs attempted as this action will invalidate the warranty terms, and any
subsequent repairs will not be covered by the warranty. For warranty claims please consult White Medical Customer
Services for advice, or return the unit to them for repair or replacement.
White Medical is quality accredited to ISO9001:2008, ISO13485:2003 and ISO14001:2004. Spares and accessories can
be supplied ex-stock and the main consumable items are detailed on the accessories page for each manufacturer. All
manufacturers consider that due to high in-company quality standards the main unit should be treated as a
non-serviceable part. This is primarily because of the necessity of proper factory calibration after replacement of high-tech
components. This means that repairs to the main unit will probably not be cost-effective bearing in mind the low
replacement cost of products. White Medical stock most spares for products in our catalogue and also discontinued
equipment, specialising in the Omron range of equipment.
