1. YAMALUBE 4-STROKE ENGINE OILS
Specially developed for the new generation of 4-stroke marine engines,
these oils provide optimum protection, using special additives and
antioxidants that also keep the engine clean and running at peak
efficiency. Because outboards and watercraft face unusually demanding
conditions, these oils feature special properties that not only look after the
engine in the all-important period immediately after starting from cold, but
also during continuous operation under heavy load or high speed.

4-STROKE FCW ANTI-CORROSION ENGINE OIL:
10W40 FCW – Outboard Motors
10W30 FCW – Outboard Motors
A special anti-corrosion formula with balanced inhibitors to protect the
vital parts of the engine against the extreme demands of the marine
environment at both idle and running speeds.
4-STROKE FUEL ECONOMY ENGINE OIL:
10W40 API SL/CF – Outboard Motors
10W30 API SJ/CF – Outboard Motors and PWCs
An excellent all-round performance lubricant with good wear-protection
properties and a special formulation to promote fuel economy.
2. YAMALUBE 2-STROKE ENGINE OILS
YAMALUBE 2-stroke Outboard Engine Oils are well known for their ability to
minimise carbon build-up, but they have now been re-formulated to
provide even better protection and lubrication. They are ideally suited to
both premix and Autolube® applications and the increased quality level
can be recognized by the “TC-W3 RL” description on the label.
SUPER 2-STROKE TC-W3 RL ENGINE OIL (Outboard Motors and PWCs):
A high quality lubricant designed to deliver top performance in the most
arduous conditions. The special formulation also ensures very low smoke
emission.
2-STROKE ENGINE OIL (Outboard Motors and PWCs):
Fully synthetic and bio-degradable, this premium oil helps reduce smoke
to a minimum; so you get ultimate engine performance combined with
optimum protection.
Please note: This bio-degradable oil is NOT suitable for HPDI motors.

1. OTHER YAMALUBE PRODUCTS
STERN DRIVE DIESEL 15W40 API CF ENGINE OIL:
Just like the other oils in our range, this formulation is designed specifically to
suit the demanding conditions encountered in the marine environment, offering
easier engine starting and maximum protection against wear and corrosion.
YAMALUBE GEAR OILS:
SAE90 API GL4 – Outboard Motors
SAE90 API GL5 – Stern Drives
Gears need protection just as much as the engine. Yamalube gear oils offer high
strength and resistance to rust and corrosion, control foaming in the gear case
and have excellent load-carrying ability under extreme pressure.

LICAL GREASE:
A premium quality, multi-purpose grease that is supremely water resistant.
The advanced Lithium/Calcium formula makes it the perfect choice for all
temperatures and in all service conditions.
WARNING: In the event that YAMALUBE is unobtainable, always check the specifications very
carefully before using an alternative lubricant.
Never use a 2-stroke oil for your outboard or personal watercraft which is not specially
formulated for these applications. Other oils can cause problems, notably carbon build-up
in the engine, which can lead to reduced engine performance, or even severe engine damage.
The “TC-W3 RL” quality level is the highest quality available for 2-Stroke Outboard motors
and offers the best possible lubrication.

RIGGING THE OUTBOARD
When mounting the motor (or motors) two basic measuring principles
are involved, and getting these right is important to gain maximum
performance and efficiency from both hull and engine.
The first is the horizontal (left-to-right) measurement, and the second
is the vertical (up-and-down) positioning.
i] Horizontal measurement: In the case of a single engine, the exact
centre of the transom width must be established and for a twin
engine installation, BOTH engines must be an EQUAL distance from
the same centre point of the transom.
ii] Vertical measurement: The vertical position of the engine relative
to the boat hull, determines the degree of cavitation (air in the
propeller stream). Choice of position will depend on the shape and
type of hull, and how the boat is to be used (speed, cruising, fishing,
transport etc).
ENGINE MOUNTING – SOME BASIC FACTS
• Most boat transom boards are angled inwards at their lowest point,
and an angle of around 12° is normal.
• With the engine mounted to the boat, the drive shaft should be
as close as possible to the perpendicular (vertical) in relation to
the water surface and the Anti-cavitation Plate should be parallel
to the water.
• The ideal Anti-cavitation Plate position is usually around an inch
(= 2.5cm) below the lowest point of the hull, but for the perfect
result in terms of maximum engine power and boat speed, it is
necessary to ‘fine tune’ the installation by experimenting with
various mounting heights and trim angles.
PROPELLERS - SOME BASIC FACTS

• Diameter: The tip of a propeller blade forms
a perfect circle with one complete revolution,
which is known as the Blade Tip Circle. The
diameter of the BTC is referred to as the
Propeller Diameter, (in inches).
• Maximum Propeller Diameter: Determined
Blade Tip Circle
by the distance between the centre of the
Propeller Shaft and the Anti-cavitation Plate.
• Pitch: Using the analogy of any screw that
advances through a solid substance (such as
wood) the distance the screw would have
travelled forwards after one complete

revolution is measured in inches and known
as the Pitch.
• Constant Pitch Propeller: One that has uniform pitch on any part of
the thrust surface of the blade.
• Effects of Diameter and Pitch: Propellers with larger diameters and
smaller pitches are used for boats where the requirement is for lower
speed but maximum power through the water. Conversely, a higher
speed planing boat would use a smaller diameter propeller of larger
pitch.
• Blade Rake: This is the angle at which the blade is attached to the
propeller hub. An increased blade rake will improve the performance
of engines with a higher elevation or in situations where ventilating
and cavitating occur.
1. PLASTIC/ALUMINIUM SERIES
CHOOSING THE RIGHT PROPELLER FOR THE JOB
The most essential requirement: A propeller should be selected that will
allow the engine speed, when at full throttle, to stay within the rated
rpm range at which the engine is designed to operate. In the case of
Yamaha Two Stroke Outboards, the range is 4,500 - 5,500 rpm, and the
equivalent range for a Yamaha Four Stroke is 5,000 - 6,000 rpm.
By choosing from the options in the reference table, a propeller can be
found that is the perfect match for the operating conditions and hull
performance of any boat.
Transport and workboats: Generally speaking, a smaller outboard with
a boat of relatively heavy displacement or with a semi-planing hull, will
need a propeller with larger diameter, smaller pitch, smaller rake and
larger blade surface area. Make sure the propeller allows the engine
to stay within the rated engine speed range at full throttle, even when
heavily loaded.
Cruising and fishing: For best fuel economy, low noise and high engine
durability, choose a propeller that allows the engine to operate at the
lower end of the rated engine speed range when at full throttle.
Usually, a larger pitch propeller will be required.
Waterskiing and wakeboarding: Maximum speed of acceleration is
needed to pull a skier out of the water, so a propeller should be
selected which allows the engine to operate near the upper limit of
the rated engine speed range at full throttle, WHEN NO SKIER IS BEING
TOWED. Warning: Only actually operate with partial throttle under
these no-load conditions (watch the tachometer!) so that the engine
rpm limit is not exceeded.

Sportsboats and runabouts: Maximum top speed and acceleration are
needed for this type of boat, so a propeller should be selected which
allows the engine to operate slightly below the upper limit of the rated
engine speed range when at full throttle.

Although plastic/aluminium is the lowest-cost option for most
engines, these Yamaha propellers provide better performance than
other plastic/aluminium propellers because of their precise matching
to Yamaha engines. The light weight and lower cost also makes
aluminium propellers an excellent choice as a spare propeller, in
case striking an underwater object accidentally damages the
primary propeller.
2. STANDARD BLACK STAINLESS STEEL SERIES

These propellers are designed as excellent general-purpose propellers.
The steel construction allows for a blade that is thinner, more
efficient and more durable than an aluminium propeller. The
painted blades both reduce the cost and provide longer zinc anode
life in saltwater, by reducing the exposed dissimilar metal surface.
They are available in both standard right-hand rotation and (from
F115 and higher) as left-hand rotation for twin engine applications.
3. RELIANCE SERIES
A Yamaha Outboard is The Right Choice for any boat, but for the very
best speed, performance and efficiency, choosing the right propeller is
just as important as mounting and rigging the outboard correctly.

A new line-up of polished stainless steel propellers that offer more
‘aggressive’ performance than the Standard Black Steel Series and
which are designed for operation with the more powerful engines,
from 150hp upwards. They offer excellent performance under a
wide range of conditions. Available in standard right-hand
configuration and also with left-hand rotation for twin-engine
installations.
As mentioned earlier, outboard mounting height and trim angle are
critical for top performance, particularly on a high-speed boat, so
adjustments and testing with several propeller types are needed to
establish the optimum settings.
MORE PROPELLER FACTS
• Direction of rotation: Yamaha propellers are right-handed. That is to
say, when viewed from the stern, they turn clockwise to move the
boat forward.
• Twin outboard installation: A counter-rotation propeller (anti-clockwise
when viewed from the stern) is fitted to the port side outboard, and
a standard propeller to the starboard side. This ensures neutral helm
and easy manoeuvrability, by counter-balancing the turning forces
inherent in the propellers.
• All Yamaha Outboards (except Electric Drives) are offered with
3-blade propellers.
• 4-blade stainless steel propellers are available as an accessory.

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS
This is the top-of-the-range propeller designed for larger boats
using larger engines, such as twin-engine offshore fishing boats.
The Saltwater Series features a highly polished, larger diameter
design. The aggressive rake angle and extra cupping on blades
provide superior mid-range fuel efficiency, along with excellent
anti-cavitation performance. To the offshore fisherman, this means
improved cruising range and better handling in rough seas. The
most efficient engine response is maintained for excellent overall
performance. These propellers are available in five pitch sizes with
either matching right or left-hand rotation for single or twinengined boats. They will fit V6 engines from 150 to 300hp and the
new V8-powered F350 (see special applications – Page 31)
5. SALTWATER SERIES XL FOR F350

6. DUAL THRUST SERIES
Specially designed for sailboats and other large-displacement craft,
Yamaha’s patented Dual Thrust propellers are built to handle the
job of pushing heavy loads through water. The hub is carefully
designed to redirect exhaust flow away from the blades, so Dual
Thrust models cut through “clean water” for higher efficiency and
better acceleration. Thrust is improved by up to 70% in reverse, and
by 10% forwards. It is recommended that you contact an authorised
Yamaha Dealer for advice on installation.
If you want to get more from your engine, these specialised
polished steel propellers are the next step up from the Standard
Black Stainless Steel Series. They can enhance performance of
certain boats and can improve their ability to handle particular
conditions.
7. TRP PROPELLER SERIES
These are very specialised stainless steel propellers designed
specifically for the twin rotating propeller D150H. They are available
in 25" and 27" pitch sets. It is recommended that you contact an
authorised Yamaha Dealer for advice on installation.
4-Blade
This is the ideal choice for rougher conditions and gives improved
acceleration (although this will result in a slight reduction in top
speed), which makes it perfect for water-skiing or wakeboarding.
It’s available for engines of 80hp and higher.
Specially designed for light hulls this propeller features sharp, narrow
blades operating half-way above the water’s surface. One of the
characteristics of the High-Performance propeller is the overhub
exhaust. It will fit all engines between 60 and 300hp.

Incorrect use of High-Performance propellers can lead to engine
damage. Always contact your authorised YAMAHA Dealer for
advice on installation.
3. PRO SERIES
This is the top-of-the-range propeller. It is specifically designed for
single engine, high-speed boats that require “bow lift” and significant
engine-mounting heights, such as bass boats. The Pro Series propeller
blades are designed with high rake angles, progressive pitch and
aggressive cupping for excellent mid-range and top-end performance.
The exhaust tube includes specially-designed relief holes to improve
low-speed acceleration. The Pro Series is available in three pitch sizes
for the 60 to 130hp models, and four pitch sizes for the 150 to
300hp models. In addition, there are three specially designed
propellers for the Vmax and Vmax HPDI engines.

maximize the power of our Vmax engines. Its high-performance
characteristics include superior acceleration and top speed. Due to
the higher rake angle than the Pro Series, these propellers are the
perfect choice for boats with a natural bow lift. (Available in
pitches 23" to 29").

This is available for engines from 20hp up to 80hp and beyond, and
is available with a left-handed rotation for twin-engine boats.
4. VMAX SERIES

Large heavy boats need to move more water. New Saltwater series
propellers were developed especially for this revolutionary new
V8-powered engine which have larger diameter and greater blade
surface area to cope efficiently with the huge power of the F350.
2. PERFORMANCE SERIES 3-BLADE AND 4-BLADE
These propellers are generally more ‘aggressive’ than the Standard
Black Series, so we recommend you select a pitch size one inch
lower than the standard propeller. If you were previously using
a Pro or Saltwater Series propeller, you should select a pitch size
one inch higher.

lines, this catalogue introduces our amazing new range of
DIGITAL NETWORK GAUGES and the incredibly efficient and

the latest Yamaha Outboards (2008 models from 50hp up)

5. MAINTENANCE GAUGE - TACHO/HOUR METER
Specially designed for 4-stroke engines, this helps monitor the service needs of
your outboard.
• Service intervals can be pre-programmed, starting at 10 hours initially and every
100 hours after that

INSTRUMENTATION FOR HYDRA DRIVE DIESELS
This black and white range of advanced instrumentation brings enhanced
quality and a sleek contemporary racing look to any dash. What’s
more, when you want to upgrade from your standard analogue
instruments, nothing could be simpler. All advanced analogue
instrumentation comes with special Yamaha connectors so they’re
completely interchangeable.
Tachometers are available both in black and white in three variations:
• Tachometer for 4-stroke engines, which includes warning lights for
the oil level and engine temperature
• Tachometer for 2-stroke oil-injected engines, with Oil Level indication
• Tachometer for small 4-stroke models, and 2-stroke pre-mix models
Attractively designed, informative and easy-to-read instruments add
to the pleasure of using YAMAHA HYDRA DRIVES and a stylish engine
monitoring package is already supplied as standard with all HYDRA
DRIVE engines; tachometer, oil pressure, cooling water temperature,
battery voltage, and trim position indicator.
A special instrument package is also available for flybridge boats,
including a tachometer and a matching panel with Engine Start/Stop
buttons. When full repeat instrumentation is required at the second
helm position, an additional warning lamp panel and instrument
cluster can also be added.
Other instruments are now available to match these, including a
speedometer (for connection to the standard built-in pick-up of the
HYDRA drive unit) and fuel level and turbo boost pressure gauges.

when we’re driving a boat?
Well, now we can! Yamaha’s new digital network system, with
its comprehensive line-up of Digital Network Gauges, really is the
revolution in command and control we’ve all been waiting for.
THE RELIABILITY YOU EXPECT FROM YAMAHA
At the heart of this revolutionary new experience for boat owners is
a very robust (that’s ‘reliable’ in technical speak) Local Area Network
system … or LAN; this offers a host of advantages, not only for the
boat owner, but also for boat builders and dealers, for whom ease
of rigging, fitting and maintenance is now a breeze. No more untidy
jumbles of separate wires, hoses and cables; just streamlined, easy-toconnect bus harnesses from the engine to the hub and onwards to the
instruments, with colour-coded connectors linking the components of
the system. In addition, on-board diagnostics are a very simple
procedure using a PC. You can also carry out regular system checks
when you’re driving. Once again, just like you do in your car.

8. ANALOGUE INSTRUMENTS
Yamaha’s standard range of analogue instrumentation is anything
but standard. They’re extremely accurate and are easy to read in
virtually all conditions, with direct faceplate illumination for
night-time viewing. They come in standard 85mm and 52mm sizes,
and their classic/contemporary design will complement the dash of
any boat.

Perhaps the most obvious advantage, which will be appreciated by any
boat owner, is the availability of a wider range of advanced, accurate
gauges than ever before; everything from basic speedometer and
tachometer displays, to warning and control information on a wide
variety of engine functions. In addition, the LAN system offers the
comforting advantage of fuel flow management as well as electronic
control of idling/trolling speed (F50/60/80/100); and if you choose to
link your system to the (optional) triducer via the simple-to-install
BUS harness, you can monitor speed, seawater temperature and
depth as well. What’s more, these are multi-function gauges, so the
combination of functions displayed, as well as the order they appear,
are user-selectable.

Both the digital network system and the Digital Network Gauges are
a perfectly engineered match for all 2008-model Yamaha outboards
(EFI models) from 50hp upwards, all of which are now fitted with a
special pre-installed connection port, enabling the engine ECU to
communicate directly and efficiently with the central network.
What’s more, the LAN system’s ‘open architecture’ and its NMEA 2000
compatibility also mean that many other peripherals can be connected
easily to the network too. You can therefore add a GPS, radar or fish
finder, as well as other navigation aids and equipment from electronics
manufacturers who have chosen to use the NMEA 2000 protocol,
opening up a whole new world of safer, more relaxed boating.

3. REMOTE CONTROL CABLES
As well as our own branded genuine Yamaha Remote Controls, you also have the choice
of Ultraflex and Teleflex in our range. There are plenty of options to choose from
depending on your requirements including side-mount controls (B89, B90),
flush-fitting controls (B183, B184, B85) and top mounted controls (B73, B77).
There is also a control specifically designed for use on sailing boats (B85).
Only the very best cable performs smoothly and reliably enough to match up to the renowned quality of a Yamaha Remote Control.
Premium PowerMatched Control Cable (YPM):
These are top-of-the-line cables, with features and performance that
have made them the first choice of professional riggers. The ultra-lowfriction inner core wire has splines and a special cover to reduce
contact with the liner, allowing rigging to even tighter tolerances;

not operate on models without tilt or power trim. All PrimeStart engines do not need a choke switch. If a choke switch is used, it has no operation. Yamaha recommends the use of the model 703 remote control boxes mentioned above, but if
precise operation is required, the following boxes can be used:

Yamaha owners. If you like a retro look there are several
styles to choose from, as well as some sleek minimal

Steering Systems
For high-horsepower, high-speed boating, steering systems must
perform at maximum capacity, and the line-up of SeaStar Hydraulic
Steering Systems from Teleflex is designed to provide that extra
margin of smooth-turning muscle when needed. This comprehensive
range, which comes recommended by YAMAHA, includes steering
systems to handle a variety of outboard requirements for both
pleasure and commercial applications.

Steering Systems
1. SEASTAR HYDRAULIC STEERING SYSTEMS
Easy to install: Only three components: helm, cylinder and tube
or hose, with a compact, attractive helm design and a variety of
mounting configurations.
Easy to fill and purge: Engineered bleed fittings on the cylinders,
plus a helm and lock valve design that enhances air removal and
comes with a no-mess filler device.
Designed to provide many years of service: Precision all-metal
construction, with heavy-duty bearings instead of bushings and
a design that means no corrosion-sensitive materials are exposed
to the marine environment.
TURNING POWER
Power is nothing without control. Your outboard is only
going to work as well as the system you use to steer it.
That’s why it only makes sense to use one that’s been
designed to work exclusively with our outboards. What’s
more, they’ve been developed with the help of our years
of experience. Whether it’s for leisure or professional use,
you’ll find every system in this range is built from highquality corrosion-resistant materials. They’re CE marked
in compliance with the EEC-directive 94/25 according
to EN/ISO 10592 and compliant with ABYC P21 and
P22 standards.
Note: For boats that can exceed 60kmh, Yamaha
recommends the YAMAHA hydraulic steering system
& YAMAHA steering wheels. Yamaha steering systems
should not be used on boats equipped with engines
that exceed the horsepower rating of the boat.
We always recommend consulting your Yamaha Authorised Dealer for advice and
installation of all Yamaha Steering Systems.

3. MECHANICAL STEERING FOR YAM INFLATABLE BOATS
There are many benefits to be gained from using a system such as
this with a Yamaha outboard. They’re safe and, because of the design,
highly durable. Unlike most other systems, the cylinder (Yamaha grey)
is front mounted and is directly fixed to the engine. This means when
the engine is tilted, the hoses between the cylinder and helm do not
move together.
If you have an inflatable boat, then a simple, effective way to convert it from
a tiller to a steering wheel operation is with one of our excellent systems. There
are three options to choose from depending on your boat and the type of system
you require:
1] Rack and Pinion System with telescopic support tubes
2] Rack and Pinion System with floor anchor and lacing cuff
3] Floor-mounted, stainless steel Pedestal Steering System
The Y33 front-mounted helm is supplied as standard in the kits
and can be used for both single and twin engine/single cylinder
installation. A Y39 helm is required for twin engine/twin cylinder
installation, offering a smoother operation and the correct
amount of wheel turns. Both Y33 and Y39 helms are available
in front and rear mounted versions.
In addition, the Y33 and the Y39 Helm is available in a “tilt” version.
The Y28 Tilt system fits on these helms to adjust the steering wheel
position for maximum comfort and control. A square and round
flange are separately available to ensure intermediate installation
of the pumps in the dashboard.

For the Floor-mounted, stainless steel Pedestal Steering System, you’ll need to
choose a steering wheel in combination with the required Y11 Steering cable length
and Y12 Helm/Bezel. Alternatively, simply choose the complete and easy-to-install
Y10 kit.

The Y22 and Y23 helms (or Y20 kit) can be used for all types of
applications. Our Y23 helm has an extra self-centring mechanism,
which means the wheel won’t return automatically to the straight
ahead position after a turning. Both these helms have to be installed
with a Y25 Bezel, which is available in 20° and 90° versions.

The Y26 and Y27 helms are similar to Y22 and Y23, offering the
same great quality and handling, but feature a 5-position tilt
mechanism to adjust the steering wheel position for maximum
comfort and control. The range of tilt is 48°.
6. TILLER HANDLES
Y25 Bezel
To make installation quick and easy, there’s a fast-connect system
to attach the cable to the helm, and cables in all systems come
with stainless steel ends. The Y12 (or Y10 kit) is for smaller boats
with engines below 40 kW (or below 55hp). Y24 can be applied if
conventional and simpler systems are required.

Some outboard models are not supplied with a tiller handle, but there is a great
choice available from Yamaha, including the very latest multi-function handle,
with its special features:
• Ergonomic design and longer, larger-diameter throttle grip

• Easy access Power Trim and Tilt switch for on-the-go operation
• Neat and conveniently positioned LED engine warning lamp
• Key switch and STOP switch easily accessible from the handle
• Built-in NEUTRAL switch and buzzer for simple rigging

1. FUEL TANKS
Fuel Accessories & Filters
All fuel tanks are equipped with an automatic de-aeration system,
a level gauge and paint-free couplings. Our heavy-duty plastic fuel
tanks are specially constructed for all conditions; safety and durability
have been given top priority, as have the fuel pipes between tank
and motor.
The fuel lines and improved connectors are totally unaffected by oil
and fuel, and maintain their elasticity, even at lower temperatures.
The permanently sealed version, with improved connectors, provides
even greater flexibility and safety against fuel leakage.
The 5 Litre high density polyethylene fuel can is unbreakable and
non-corroding. The no-spill spout provides full control when
refuelling, as fuel will not flow until the nozzle is inserted into
the fuel tank and gently pressed down.

2. WATER SEPARATING FUEL FILTERS
Keeping your fuel clean has and will always be an important issue
where boating is concerned. Contaminated fuel affects performance
and can increase the wear and tear on your engine. The trouble is,
millions of small dirt particles are already in the fuel before it gets
anywhere near your boat. That’s where Yamaha Water Separating
Fuel Filters come in. They are designed to be the most efficient
systems available for removing dirt before it enters the pumps and
injection system. Without one, dirty, unfiltered fuel could block
your internal fuel passages causing the engine to run poorly or
even fail.

Instead of the standard 35/27-micron filter, the Yamaha 10-micron
filter will protect your engine by removing dirt, water and small
foreign particles. The superior Yamaha 10-micron filters are highly
recommended for all engines, especially HPDI models and EFI.
WORKING AS ONE
However, it’s important to choose a fuel filter with the right capacity
for your engine and regularly maintain it. If not, this could also
affect performance and damage the engine. A simple rule of thumb
is to ensure the litres-per-hour (LPH) of the filter is greater than
that of the engine. This figure can be found in your owner’s manual.
The excellent compatibility of using Yamaha products
together on your boat is always going to be better in
the long-run. But here, more than anywhere else, it’s
absolutely crucial. Firstly, for safety and secondly, for
performance, it’s essential to use only Yamaha products
where fuel is concerned. All Yamaha tanks, fuel pipes,
filters and other accessories are designed to work together.
Mixing different manufacturers’ products could be costly
and possibly dangerous. The Genuine Yamaha Parts stamp
of approval means you’ve got peace of mind, knowing that
this important part of your boat has been designed and
manufactured to our uncompromising standards and will
be working to maximum efficiency.

Remember, a filter that is too big or too good will not cause
problems, but one that is too small or too dirty can restrict fuel
flow, possibly resulting in engine failure.

PRESERVING ENGINE LIFE
You can expect your Yamaha engine to give you years
and years of trouble-free enjoyment. But it needs to
be looked after correctly. That means regular servicing
with a Yamaha dealer. No-one knows our engines
better. They’ll clean, check and adjust your engine,
carburettor and ignition system. They‘ll also check
your cooling system, transmission and propeller, as
well as lubricate and change the oil. Always use
Yamalube for regular oil changes. There are others
on the market, but only Yamalube goes hand-in-glove
with Yamaha engines. The same goes for Yamaha
parts. Important items to change regularly are:
self-sacrificing anodes (to resist corrosion of metal
parts in the engine); impellers (part of the cooling
system); fuel filters; and spark plugs. Finally, a Yamaha
Outboard Motor Cover will prolong the looks and
life of your engine.
We always recommend consulting your Yamaha Authorised Dealer for advice
regarding Service, Maintenence and Rigging Parts.

The materials and build quality of a Yamaha engine means
it’s already highly resistant to corrosion. The addition of a selfsacrificing anode will improve this even further. As a first line of
defence, an anode is meant to corrode instead of your engine. It
can easily be replaced by another, thereby protecting the engine.
However, high-quality Yamaha anodes are more durable than most
of their competitors and will need to be changed less often, thereby
maximising the protection of your engine.
6. RIGGING HOSE

Keep your cables protected and uncluttered with a Rigging Hose.
Yamaha Hoses are tough yet flexible and are constructed from
crush-resistant, UV-protected material to ensure a longer life span.
Hoses are mounted using a chromium-plated copper or plastic
bracket and come in black, grey or metallic blue colours.
2. IMPELLERS

This vital component of the water pump ensures a continuous
supply of the correct amount of coolant to the engine. Like all our
parts, a Yamaha Impeller is intended for use with a Yamaha engine,
so it’s advisable to specify one every time it needs replacing.
7. RIGGING GROMMETS
These handy devices replace rubber engine grommets on bigger
engines and provide positive attachment without the need for
clamps. They can be threaded directly onto one end of a rigging
hose with Transom Brackets at the other end.

3. ENGINE FLUSH KIT

This extremely useful piece of equipment connects in seconds to
your garden hose and allows you to flush out harmful salt and
sand. It can also be used for out-of-water operation for tune-ups.
8. TRANSOM BRACKETS
The tough plastic bracket is easy to install by just threading the
Rigging Hose onto it. It requires no clamp, yet provides positive
engagement. Use with the Rigging Grommet on the other end for
quick, easy rigging. When the chromium plated copper “Through
transom bracket” is used, the rigging hose is fitted with the clamp.
4. PROPELLER WRENCH
Designed to fit F115 and all V4/V6 outboard prop nuts. Has a 9/16"
square opening on the reverse side to open garboard drain plugs.

5. NGK SPARK PLUGS
These provide the ultimate performance for your engine.
They’re high-quality, reliable and their advanced materials and
design provide superior anti-fouling characteristics, which reduce
carbon build-up over a wide heat range. “V Type” plugs include
a thin centre electrode tip, which is made of precious metal
for added corrosion and oxidation resistance. The result: fast,
sure starts and less misfiring, even in the coldest weather.

coating, for durability and protection of your YAM inflatable.

Rubber heavy duty inflatable launching wheels. High quality 316
stainless steel pipe for optimal protection against corrosion and
easy-to-use pivot system to raise the wheels. Suitable for both
long transom and short transom inflatable boats.
Each cover is supplied with a handy storage bag, made of the same
material. YAM covers are especially effective in protecting your
boat against the destructive effect of sunlight. The use of a cover
is recommended in your Owner’s Manual, as it will further increase
the durability of your inflatable boat.

These new cushions are available for all Tender and Sport models.
The material, design and colour setting match the tubes of your
inflatable. Provides a comfortable sitting position.
Top quality double-tube roll bars specially designed to fit, for
example, the YAM 500R and 550R RIBs. Made of 316 stainless steel
for superior durability and optimal protection against corrosion,
unlike many of the lower quality bars available.
3. YAM STORAGE SEAT
Easy-to-install seat, enabling storage of your Yamaha 12-litre tank.
After inflating the boat to 75%, the seat has to be put and
extended as much as possible between the tubular sides of the
boat and the bolts can be tightened. The seat is adjustable for
a width of between 60 and 80cm.
8. FABRIC CLEANER REVIVAL
An ecologically-friendly paste that cleans, degreases, polishes and
protects. Specially designed for boat maintenance: it removes
yellowing, tartar, rust and marks on the gel coat
and tubes.

bag made of water resistant material slides over the wooden bench
