ELECTRICALSAFETY

modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of

[] Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed or grounded.

TOOL USE AND CARE

This tool has a variable speed switch that delivers higher
speed with increased trigger pressure. Speed is controlled by the amount of switch trigger depression.

BATTERY
PROTECTION
FEATURES
Craftsman 19.2 V lithium-ion batteries are designed with
features that protect the lithium-ion ceils and maximize
battery life. Under some operating conditions, these builtin features may cause the battery and the tool it is powering to act
differently from nickel-cadmium batteries.
During some applications, the battery electronics may
signal the battery to shut down, and cause the tool to stop
running. To reset the battery and tool, release the trigger
and resume normal operation.
NOTE: To prevent further shut down of the battery, avoid
forcing the tool.
If releasing the trigger does not reset the battery and
tool, the battery pack is depleted. If depleted, the battery
pack will begin charging when placed on the lithium-ion
charger.

The C3 energy indicator window located on the side of the
handle, just above the base, will light when the 113710

by a selector located above the switch trigger. With the
impact driver held in normal operating position, the direction of rotation selector should be positioned to the left
of the switch trigger for driving. The driving direction is
reversed when the selector is to the right of the switch
trigger.
Setting the direction of rotation selector in the OFF (center
lock) position helps reduce the possibility of accidental
starting when not in use.
CAUTION: To prevent gear damage, always allow the coupler to come to a complete stop before
changing the direction of rotation.
To stop the impact driver, release the switch trigger and
allow the coupler to come to a complete stop.
NOTE: The impact driver will not run unless the direction
of rotation selector is pushed fully to the left or right.
Avoid running the driver at low speeds for extended periods
of time. Running at low speeds under constant usage may
cause the driver to become overheated. If this occurs, cool
the driver by running it without a load and at full speed.

To install the battery pack:
[] Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation (forward/reverse/center
lock) selector in center

[] Align raised rib on battery pack with the groove inside
the impact driver.

Toremovethe batterypack:

[] Depressthe latchesonthesidesof thebatterypack.
Thebatterypackwilldisconnectinthedirectionto be
removed.
[] Pull on the bit to make sure it is secured in the coupler.
There may be some play in the installed bit; this is
normal.
NOTE: Use only impact quality bits with a locking
groove (not included).

The LED worklight, on the base of the tool, illuminates
when the switch trigger is depressed. This provides
additional lighting on the surface of the workpiece for
operation in lower-light areas.
DRIVING
BIT STORAGE

WARNING:
Do not drive a screw where there is
likely to be hidden wiring behind the surface. Contact with a "live" wire will make exposed metal parts
of the tool "live" and shock the operator. If you must
drive a screw where hidden wire may be present,
always hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces
(handle) when performing the operation to prevent a
shock to the operator, as seen in figure 6.
The tool has a built-in coupler. The coupler has been designed to accept 1/4 in. hex bits with a locking groove.

Este producto acepta los paquetes de baterfas Craftsmam de
iones de litio de 19,2 V y los paquetes de baterfas CRAFTSMAN
de niquel-cadmio de 19,2 V.
Para ver las instrucciones de carga comptetas, consutte el
manual del operador de los paquetes de baterias y cargadores
enumerados en las Reglas de seguridad generales.

Las baterfas de iones de litio de CRAFTSMAN de 19,2 V estan
diseSadas con caracterfsticas que protegen las celdas de iones de
litio y maximizan la duracion de las baterfas. En ciertas condiciones
de funcionamiento, estas caracterfsticas integradas pueden hacer
que la baterfa y la herramienta que esta encendiendo actOen de
manera diferente a la mayorfa de las baterfas nfquel-cadmio.
Durante algunas aplicaciones, el sistema electronico de la baterfa
puede indicar a la baterfa que se apague y hacer que la herramienta
deje de funcionar. Para reajustar la baterfa y la herramienta, suelte
el gatillo y reanude el funcionamiento normal.
NOTA: Para evitar que la baterfa se vuelva a apagar, evite forzar
la herramienta.
Sial soltar el gatillo no se reajustan la baterfa y la herramienta, el
paquete de baterfas esta agotado. Si esta agotado, el paquete de
baterfas comenzara a cargarse cuando se coloque en el cargador
de iones de litio.

El sentido de rotaci6n de la broca es invertibte y se controla
con un selector, situado arriba del gatillo del interruptor. Con
el destorniltador de impacto sostenido en ta posici6n normal
de trabajo, el selector de sentido de rotaci6n debe estar a la
izquierda del gatitlo del interruptor para el enroscado. El sentido
de rotaci6n esta invertido cuando el selector se encuentra a la
derecha del gatilto del interruptor.
Si se pone un selector de sentido de giro en la posici6n de
APAGADO (seguro en el centro) se evita el peligro de arrancar
accidentalmente la herramienta cuando no esta usandose

Para no daSar el engranaje, antes de
cambiar el sentido de rotaci6n espere a que el acoplador
se detenga por compteto.
Para detener el destornittador de impacto, suelte el gatilto del
interruptor y espere a que pare de girar el acoptador.
NOTA: El destornitlador de impacto no funcionara si el selector
de rotaci6n no se pasa completamente hasta la izquierda o la
derecha.
Evite utitizar el destorniltador a velocidad baja durante perfodos
de tiempo prolongados. Si se hace funcionar el destornillador a
baja velocidad en uso constante puede recalentarse. Si ocurre
tat situaci6n, enfrfe el destorniltador poniendoto a funcionar en
vac[o y a toda velocidad.

toque ambas terminales con objetos metalicos y
partes del cuerpo, ya que puede producirse un corto
circuito. Mantengase fuera del atcance de los ni_os.
