5. Interconnect the "temperature" tag with the actual value and the "output_value" tag with
the controlled variable. When you enter the first letters of the tag the selection is filtered
correspondingly by Intellisense®.

Interconnecting blocks directly with parameters
The "temperature" tag will continue to be used in the following section. Otherwise you can
also interconnect the "PID_ Compact" block directly with the parameters of the simulation
block. Parameters are addressed as follows: "Block name".Parameter.
You can select from the drop-down list to the left of the input field of the actual value if the
value will be the tag or parameter interconnected with the function block or the current
value of the instance DB of the PID_Compact instruction.
Result
You have interconnected the PID controller (PID_Compact) and the simulation block
"PROC_C". When the simulation is started, the PID controller receives a new actual value
each time the organization block "PID [OB200]" is called.
