Sets the time in seconds that a switch waits for a response to an Extensible Authentication Protocol
(EAP) request frame from the client before resending the request.

dot1x timeout supp-timeout seconds
seconds
Specifies the number of seconds that the switch waits for a response to the
EAP frame. The range of valid values is from 1 through 65535.
The default timeout is 30 seconds.
Interface configuration mode
Use this command to specify the EAP response timeout.

To set 40 seconds as the switch-to-client retransmission time for the EAP request frame:
switch(conf-if-te-0/1)#dot1x timeout supp-timeout 40
