We have improved the durability of the headphone plug and headphone/cable
connector to provide the durability required for professional use. An exchangeable
Mini XLR connector has been used for the rare cases that the cable is damaged.

Perfect fit and lightweight for extended DJing
The surfaces of the ear pads and head pads are made of protein leather* 1 for
great feel and flexibility.
Low-rebound urethane* 2 is used on the inside to form to the shape of your head
and provide a stabile fit. The main unit is made of a magnesium alloy that is both
lightweight and durable. These qualities provide excellent comfort for lengthy DJ
sessions.

With a new i-type hinge, a smooth and integral form has been achieved that naturally fits the hands

Clearly reproduces the midrange,
including the kick and snare sounds

The narrow ear cup design creates a tight
seal on your ear to block out external sound,
while the low-resilience urethane memory
foam ear pads make sure the HDJ-1500s
are easy on the ears even during prolonged
use. The included ear pads can be replaced
with the HDJ-EP01s – open-cup*1 protein
leather ear pads which sit around the ears
and are sold separately –so DJs can choose
the best option to suit their comfort and
listening style.
The newly developed 40 mm driver unit includes a strong
rare earth magnet. The reduced inner diameter of the
ear pads increases the sound pressure to provide a rich
low range. The voice coil now uses a thicker diaphragm
of 19 μm and copper-clad aluminum wiring (CCAW) to
clearly reproduce the midrange, including the kick
and snare sounds vital for DJ mixing. With these
headphones, even inexperienced DJs can easily grasp
a song’s tempo.

The excellent sound quality required for dance
music playback and music production has been
achieved thanks to a hybrid 2-way driver system
using dynamic drivers with large 9.4 mm apertures
and powerful rare earth magnets for bass sounds,
in conjunction with balanced armature drivers with
sound quality tuning for mid-range and treble.
Beats from snare drums and cymbals are easy to
catch by virtue of rich, quick bass sounds and clear
mid-range and treble.
