STEP 2 Insert the supplied battery. Making sure “+” and “-” are inserted the correct way. STEP 3 Then screw the battery housing back onto the remote console. STEP 1 Turn on the ignition. STEP 2 Ensure your portable device is charged. STEP 3 Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone or portable device. STEP 4 Search for iO TALK1 from your device. Then select “iO TALK1”. iO TALK1 4 www.my-io.com www.my-io.com 5 THE CONSOLE GET CONNECTED THE MENU The menu button will allow you to access the settings within iO TALK1. THE WIRELESS CONSOLE BUTTONS EN STEP 5 Pair to iO TALK1 using Bluetooth passcode: 0000 STEP 7 Your iO TALK1 will then confirm that your device has been successfully connected. Call Hold function when in a phone call Menu STEP 6 Now connect to iO TALK1. (Note: ensure no other device is connected to iO TALK1 when first connecting). NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN I PRESS THE MENU BUTTON. A. Check the backlight illuminates on the console when a button is pressed. If it does not, the battery may not be installed properly or may need replacing. A. Ensure the car ignition is turned on. Q. IS MY DEVICE COMPATIBLE WITH iO TALK1? A. Any Bluetooth enabled mobile supporting hands free or headset profiles should work with iO TALK1. A. Any Bluetooth music device supporting A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) should allow audio streaming. Q. iO TALK1 SAYS “PHONE NOT CONNECTED” WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED ON. A. Check that the phone is within range (i.e. within the car). A. Ensure that the device is turned on and that Bluetooth is enabled. A. Ensure that the device has been previously paired with iO TALK1. If not goto the “GET CONNECT” section and follow the instructions. Q. MY DEVICE DOES NOT PLAY THROUGH MY CAR SPEAKERS WHEN I CONNECT AND PAIR TO iO TALK1. Mobile Hands Free (HFP) A. Ensure you have turned on your ignition in your vehicle. A. Ensure the iO TALK1 volume is turned up. A. Ensure your mobile is connected to iO TALK1 - The device should say “phone connected” when the ignition is turned on. A. Ensure your connected mobile phone is charged and switched on. Music Streaming (A2DP) A. Ensure you have turned on your ignition in your vehicle. A. Ensure the iO TALK1 volume is turned up. A. Ensure the device volume is turned up. A. Ensure your connected device is not stopped or pause. Armour Automotive warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase with receipt. Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the warranty period, Armour Automotive will repair or replace (at its discretion) the defective merchandise with equivalent products. The warranty excludes damage or abuse caused by customer misuse. All warranties are to be handled by the original retailer where the goods were purchased. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser.
