8.4.4 3-Pole Plus Clamp Resistance Useful for testing multiple points without having to move the current and potential electrodes. This option is only available when there is a current probe connected to the Xv terminal. The following configuration options are available: • With or without Auxiliary Rod Resistance. • Test voltage 16 or 32VAC. • Auto frequency - select the optimum frequency (from 41 to 5078Hz), usually 128Hz, or select manually from the drop-down frequency list. Current (Z) and potential electrodes (Y) are installed as in a fall-of-potential test. Current probe and lead are both connected at the test point. Multiple test points can be measured by moving the probe with its lead to a new location, but not moving the current and potential electrodes. The instrument should be strategically positioned so that the leads will not be too short to perform all the measurements. The Input Noise option allows the viewing of noise for Z or Y inputs.
