Introduction
LSIZE Wireless is a wireless measurement collection and analysis tool designed for use in
forest products manufacturing facilities such as sawmills, veneer mills, panel plants, etc.
LSIZE Wireless allows you to collect and store measurement information from multiple
machine centers and identify the cutting location and target size within the machine center.
Each machine center, cutting location and target size that is being monitored is stored in a
separate measurement bin. LSIZE Wireless allows you to specify up to 300 separate
measurement bins for each database on LSIZE Wireless. You can have up to 10 different
databases on LSIZE Wireless.
The wireless technology that is used by LSIZE Wireless was developed by MicroRidge
Systems and has been shipping to general manufacturing facilities since October 2006. LSIZE
Wireless is the only wireless measurement collection system available that has been designed
specifically for forest products manufacturing facilities.
LSIZE Handheld with Mobile Module on Caliper
LSIZE Wireless must be used in conjunction with the LSIZE software on your PC. The LSIZE
software on your PC is used to configure the measurement bins for LSIZE Wireless and to
receive the measurements collected by LSIZE Wireless. The bin specifications and
measurements are transferred to and from LSIZE Wireless when the Handheld is placed into
the Docking Station that is included with LSIZE Wireless.
