VALIDATION PLAN
1. Monitor the driver’s procedures of using the Stop Survey mode of MDT to report the
GPS coordinates and entering the coordinates onto the Stop Survey Form.
2. Observe an administrative assistant’s activities to create a new stop using GPS
coordinates and create a new schedule utilizing the new stop.
3. Create a data collection sheet (or map) that chronicles and details the driver’s and
administrative assistant’s procedures of creating a new stop.
4. Record observations about other factors and impressions. Required observations are:
o Did the MDT provide a Stop Survey Mode, which reported the GPS coordinates to
the driver?
o Was a Stop Survey Form provided to allow the driver to record the reported GPS
coordinates?
o Did the schedule tool allow the administrative assistant to create a new stop with
previously recorded GPS coordinates?
o Did the schedule tool create a new schedule utilizing the newly created stop?
NOTES
GPS coordinates are not required to add a new stop and adding stops to a route is fairly simple
and looks like the following:
You simply click on the map to draw the route, go to the points that you want to be a stop,
