Add Region tool. • Select: Choose this if you want to apply the filter only to the regions you paint. This is the default setting. • Protect: Choose this if you want to apply the filter to all areas of the photo, except for those that you paint. Using the circular cursor, paint the regions to be masked (selected areas are painted in green; protected areas in red). If you've not been as accurate as you'd like while painting, click Remove Regions then paint over the unwanted painted regions. 6. Click to save your mask changes, or to cancel. The mask button changes to yellow when a mask is applied (i.e., ).
