INTRODUCTION 1 The Scalarworks LDM/Micro is an Aimpoint® Micro mount with a quick detach mechanism compatible with Mil-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails. Skill level required: NOVICE. If after reading this manual you feel uncomfortable proceeding: STOP and contact a qualified armorer or gunsmith. Installation Tools Required: 1- T9 screwdriver - included with your Aimpoint® Micro sight. During installation of your LDM/Micro: LDM/Micro USER MANUAL SCHEMATIC 2 1- Ensure that your firearm is always pointed in a safe direction. 2- Ensure that your firearm safety is engaged. 3- Ensure that your firearm is clear and unloaded. ASSEMBLY 3 STEP 1: Clean, degrease, and apply a dab of Loctite® 242 to the M3x0.5 Torx Screws (D). BASE Part #: LDM101/LDM111 CLAMP Part #: LDM102 STEP 2: Mate your Aimpoint® Micro with the LDM/Micro’s Base (A). THUMBSCREW Part #: LDM103 M3x0.5 (4mm) TORX SCREWS Part #: LDM104 STEP 3: Attach your Aimpoint® Micro to the Base (A) with the M3x0.5 Torx Screws (D) using a T9 screwdriver; A snug fit is all that is required. DO NOT over-tighten (8 inch-lbs MAX). #4-40 SET SCREW Part #: LDM105 MOUNTING 4 STEP 1: Turn the Thumbscrew (C) counterclockwise until the Clamp (B) opens sufficiently to clear both sides of your firearm’s Mil-STD-1913 rail. MOUNTING (CONTINUED) STEP 4: Turn the Thumbscrew (C) clockwise until it’s hand-tight. NOTE: The integral ball plunger mechanism will ensure that your LDM/Micro won’t come loose even under the sharpest recoil. STEP 2: Hook the Thumbscrew (C) side of the LDM/Micro onto your firearm’s Mil-STD-1913 rail, ensuring that the Thumbscrew (C) shaft is aligned with one of the Mil-STD-1913 rail grooves. STEP 3: Pivot the LDM/Micro onto your Mil-STD-1913 rail until it is fully seated.
