IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should be taken, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTION BEFORE USING & KEEP AWAY FROM
WATER
A. DANGER - As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are
electrically live even when the switch is off.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DEATH OR INJURY BY ELECTRIC SHOCK:
1. Always unplug appliances immediately after using.
2. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a
tub or sink.
3. Do not use while bathing.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance comes in contact with water, unplug it immediately.
Do not reach into the water.
6. This appliance has a three pronged, grounded plug. As a safety
feature, this plug will not fit into a polarized outlet which has only two
slots. Do not attempt to modify the plug or use an adapter. Do not attempt to circumvent this safety feature. Contact an electrician for more
information.
B. WARNING - To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury
to person:
1. Do not block air flow vents.
2. Do not use FUME IRON™ as a vacuum cleaner.
3. Do not use FUME IRON™ to aspirate any solid particles or liquids.
4. Do not cut air hose.
5. Do not detach hose from iron while power plug is connected to
power outlet.
6. Do not wrap hose around any part of the body.
7. Avoid placing any body parts near high suction vents when the
extractor base is on.
8. Avoid placing any clothing or loose jewelry near high suction vents
when the extractor base is on.
9. Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
10. Do not pull, twist, or wrap the cord around appliance.
11. This appliance should not be used on, by or near children or
individuals with certain disabilities.
12. Only use this appliance for its intended use as described in this
manual. Do not use attachments other than those recommended by
the manufacturer.
13. Never operate this appliance if the chord or plug show signs of
damage.
14. Return the appliance to place of purchase for examination and
repair if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped, damaged, or
exposed to water.
15. Keep the cord and air hose away from heated surfaces.
16. Never drop or insert objects into any of the appliance’s opening.
17. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
18. Unit is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or bare skin come in
contact with heated surfaces.
19. Do not place the heated unit directly on any surface while it is hot
or plugged in.
20. Before using an extension cord, check that the cord is rated for the
amperage draw of this appliance.
21. The exhaust air exiting the rear grill of the extractor is hot. Do not
touch the grill and immediate area around it as they also become hot.
22. Do not obstruct the rear exhaust of the extractor .
23. Avoid placing the extractor’s exhaust within proximity of walls,
objects or body parts. The exhaust air is hot and may cause damage or
injury. Keep a minimum clearance distance of 2 feet.
23. Do not operate the extractor continuously for more than 2 hours at
a time. After 1 hour of continuous use, turn the extractor off and allow
it to cool for at least 15 minutes before using again.
24. Replace filter as instructed.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Do not plug the power cord into the power outlet.
1. Connect the Ventilated Fume Iron Wand to the Flexible Air Hose.
2. Connect the other end of the Flexible Air hose to the Purification
Module.
3. Before plugging the power cord to the power outlet, make sure that
the toggle switch on the Purification Module in the off position.
4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet and press “ON” button
on the Ventilated Fume Iron Wand.
5. Adjust temperature by pressing UP or DOWN button (on the wand)
to select the right temperature.
6. Flip the toggle switch on the Purification Module to the “ON” position to turn on air suction.
7. Before every use, check vents, hose and top surface of the filter grill
for obstructions. Clear away any debris that has collected.
8. When not in use, allow unit to cool, then store out of reach of
children in a safe, dry location. Do not jerk, strain hose or cord
connection.
9. Do not attempt to move the unit by the Ventilated Fume Iron Wand
or by the Flexible Air Hose.
10. Do not operate the extractor base continuously for more than 2
hours at a time. Allow the unit at least 15 minutes for cool down
between each use.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
1. Before every use, unplug the unit, allow it to cool if it has been used
prior, and wipe exterior with a soft cloth.
2. Open the lid of the Purification Module and inspect the filter for any
debris or accumulated hair. Remove the debris or accumulated hair
before using.
3. Disconnect the Flexible Air Hose from the Ventilated Fume Iron
Wand and the base connector (on the Purification Module) inspect the
hose for any debris or accumulated hair. Remove the debris or accumulated hair before using.
4. Inspect the Ventilated Fume Iron Wand, vents and hose port for any
debris or accumulated hair. Remove the debris or accumulated hair
before using.
5. Inspect the base connector on the Purification Module for any
debris or accumulated hair. Remove the debris or accumulated hair
before using.
6. Check to see if the filters need replacement. See instructions on next
page.
If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool,
and contact customer service. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
WARNING! Manufacturer warranty will be voided if the product is
damaged due to lack of adherence to the manufacturer
recommended maintenance instructions and recommended filter
replacement schedules.
FILTER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Filters should be replaced once a month and/or after 30 keratin
straightening treatments and/or when odour is detected from the exhaust of the extractor during operation and/or when airflow is reduced
due to blinding of the filter surfaces.
1. Unlatch the lid of the Purification Module. Lift the lid and remove
Filter Cartridge.

2. Remove the thumbscrew on the side of the cartridge case. Lift the
grill and set it aside.
3. Gently tip the contents of the Filter Cartridge into a lined garbage
bin. Ensure that both spent filter pads (top and bottom) and all of the
spent carbon granules have been removed from the Filter Cartidge.
4. Open the refill kit and place a new filter pad in the bottom of the
Filter Cartridge. Make sure that the filter pad covers the grill from edge
to edge.
5. Gently pour ALL of the supplied Bio-Activated Coconut Carbon
granules into the Filter Cartridge. Lightly shake the box from side to
side to level the granules. You may have to use a spatula or fingers to
further level out the granules.
6. Place another filter pad on top of the levelled granules, ensuring
that the pad is flat and covers the granules from edge to edge.
7. Carefully replace the grill, and secure it by screwing the thumbscrew
back into the cartridge case. Insert Filter Cartridge inside the
Purification Module, close the lid, and close the latch.

WARRANTY & SERVICE
BijoSante warrants all products sold by BijoSante to be free of defects in
material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified on the product. If a product is found to be
defective by BijoSante, in its sole discretion, BijoSante’s only responsibility
shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. BijoSante
will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of
loss or use of product.
1. The warranty applies only to BijoSante products purchased from
Authorized BijoSante Dealers and is valid for the original purchaser only.
2. All products returned to BjioSante for warranty inspection must receive
prior return authorization which can be given over the phone. Ship products
freight prepaid and insured.
3. Re-Package the Fume Iron product back into the original packaging. Only
the original packaging will ensure safe delivery and reduce the risk of further
damage during shipment.
4. BijoSante assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from the
customer to our Warranty Department. ANY Shipping charges are not
refundable (including RETURN shipping).
5. Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
- Damage caused by use of solvents or adhesives.
- Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages
6. All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or
alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in
writing by BijoSante.
7. Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original
warranty only.
8. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt
from an Authorized BijoSante Dealer. Invoice or charge receipt must clearly
identify the dealer.
