Programming Chapter 4 RTSI Switch Shift Registers The RTSI Switch Shift Registers are written to in order to load the RTSI switch internal 56-bit Control Register with routing information for switching signals to and from the RTSI bus trigger lines. The RTSI Switch Shift Registers are 1-bit registers and must be written to 56 times in order to shift the 56 bits into the internal registers. This bit is the serial input to the RTSI switch. Each time the RTSI Shift Register is written to, the value of this bit is shifted into the RTSI switch.
