Is E-Liquid safe? While nothing is 100% safe
and further testing needs to be done regarding
long-term use, based on the fact that they contain
only ingredients already shown to be safe for
human consumption and research studies show
that they do not contain most of the toxins or levels
of carcinogens that are found in tobacco cigarettes,
we are reasonably certain they are considerably
safer than tobacco cigarette smoking. The American
Association of Public Health Physicians (AAPHP)
supports the use of electronic cigarettes as a
reduced harm tobacco product. The AAPHP released
a statement that electronic cigarettes “could save
the lives of 4 million of the 8 million current adult
American smokers who will otherwise die of a
tobacco-related illness over the next 20 years."
Doesn’t nicotine cause cancer? Nicotine is an
addictive stimulant, similar to caffeine and is not
shown to cause cancer. Although nicotine use carries
other possible health risks, without the tobacco
smoke, it is relatively low risk.
Didn’t the FDA say electronic cigarettes are
dangerous and banned them? The FDA tested 18
samples and found that a few had trace amounts
of possible cancer-causing nitrosamines, which
were found only at parts-per-billion. The FDA

Appeals Court subsequently upheld that ruling. The
AAPHP has also petitioned the FDA to retract their
misleading statements about electronic cigarettes
and allow them to be marketed as reduced harm
tobacco products.
Can I use electronic cigarettes anywhere I want?
That depends on the laws of your [city &] state [
& country] and the establishment. Some business
may not allow you to use the devices in their
establishment, as is their right. Some states are
trying to not only include electronic cigarettes in
indoor smoking bans, but ban them altogether.

Are electronic cigarettes for quitting smoking?
Electronic cigarettes are intended as an alternative to
smoking tobacco cigarettes. They are not designed
to treat nicotine addiction, only provide nicotine in
a safer manner. However, many experts agree that
switching to electronic cigarettes is almost as good
as quitting smoking. Additionally, some people have
reportedly used the reduced nicotine levels available
to wean themselves off of nicotine altogether and
now use 0mg nicotine liquid.
There is no diethylene glycol in any of our e-liquid products
What is an electronic cigarette? A device that uses
a small battery and a heater, called an atomizer, to
vaporize a nicotine solution for inhalation.
Tobacco harm reduction is an educational initiative by which smokers who are unable or
unwilling to quit are advised that they can lower their risk of a potentially fatal tobaccoattributable illness by 98% or better by switching to any one of the smokeless products now
on the American market. These data are based on long-term epidemiological studies of
Snus use in Sweden and on use of “smokeless tobacco” in the USA since the mid 1980’s.
Since e-cigarettes are basically a nicotine-only product with only the smallest traces of the
carcinogens and other toxins found in smokeless tobacco product, e-cigarettes likely carry
even less risk.
“Harm reduction” does not
mean “harmless.”
All of these products, including the pharmaceutical nicotine products pose more of a potential
health risk than usually accepted in other consumer products. None are risk free. It is only
in comparison to cigarettes that they can be considered very low risk. Nicotine addicts, but
it is the other toxins in cigarette smoke, when inhaled deep into the lung, that kill. All of the
480,000 estimated tobacco-attributable deaths each year in the USA are due to a single
tobacco product – the cigarette. Deaths from all other tobacco products are so low in number
and so hard to distinguish from background that they are not tracked by our federal agencies.
Simply changing the mantra from a “tobacco free society” to a “smoke-free society” would
align tobacco control policy with the science and evidence base.
Harm reduction could save
millions of lives.
Right now, the best we have to offer current smokers is a set of pharmaceutical-based
smoking cessation protocols that we know will fail about 90 percent of smokers who use them,
under the best of study conditions, with results measured at six to twelve months. The flaws in
the current “evidence-based” policies are fairly obvious. They do not satisfy the urge to smoke
in the majority of smokers, the dose is too low, the duration of treatment too short and there is
no built-in provision for self-reinforcement when the urge to smoke returns.
A modestly successful tobacco harm reduction initiative, if added to current tobacco control

Why Steep? ECBlend creates your custom e-liquid at the time you order it. With our custom creation and fast shipping, you may receive your product ‘too
fast’. Flavors blend and marry fully over time, so you will have a richer, deeper, more flavorful product after a few days or weeks of steeping. This is especially true of
tobacco flavors and larger bottle sizes. This is also generally true for all e-liquid.
At ECBlend we make each bottle custom to your order - you will receive the product within a few days of
creation. Let them sit for a few days or a week before vaping and you will find yourself with some very flavorful
e-liquid.
STEEPING: Although most ECBlend E-Liquid tastes great right out of the bottle, some juices get even better
when ‘aged’ or ‘steeped’. This is especially true of complex blends, tobacco products, our Dragon series, and
larger bottle sizes. E-Liquids taste a lot better after properly aged. Time allows all flavors to be married together
and mature, making them taste richer. Tobacco Flavors generally taste better over time.
For best steeping results: Store e-liquid in a cool dark place (in a safe place AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND
PETS) and shake daily. (Steeping can be from 2 days up to 3 weeks. It is a personal preference) -
PG is a better flavor carrier than VG and requires less steeping. The higher the VG content, the better it will taste with steeping.
IN A HURRY FOR YOUR E-LIQUID? Try This!
Seal the bottle tightly and air free in a zip lock bag, then seal it in another (tightly sealed and air free also. If they are not sealed completely the ink on the label might bleed, making it
unreadable.) Place the bottle in hot tap water for 10-15 minutes. This will allow for better mixing when shaking. This process can be repeated as much as needed to completely blend your

BASE MIX: Throat Hit, Vapor, and Consistency depending on the Base Mix you select: The more
Propylene Glycol (PG) in the Base Mix will make the liquid thinner, and will produce more throat hit and less vapor. The more Vegetable Glycerin
(VG) in the Base Mix will make the liquid thicker, throat hit will be less and the vapor produced will be much greater.
Reduced PG : Flavoring is PG based, if nicotine is selected it is added as VG based, and the remainder is filled with VG
100% PG : there is no VG in the bottle. This will produce little to NO vapor, and LOTS of throat hit

Throat hit also depends on how many milligrams of nicotine you select and
what kind of Vaporizer you are using it with (higher voltage, lower resistances etc).
Throat hit can also be changed on your device. Using a lower resistant atomizer/cartomizer will also increase the throat hit. A variable voltage device will also allow
you to vape at higher temperatures by increasing the voltage. BE SAFE: Do not modify your device and check with your manufacturer for more information.
Anything with nicotine in it may change to a light amberish color. Some of the flavorings will also cause a color change over time as the flavor develops and intensifies
(also known as steeping). (Example: Our Ry4 starts off as clear when it is first mixed. Over time, it turns into a deep-reddish amber as it
ages.) Some flavors have a natural color and some (very few) include natural or artificial color in the flavoring extract. This is a very small
component added. ABOUT COLOR and ATOMIZERS or CARTOMIZERS: There is no scientific information study that we know of, however, many
people feel that DARKER COLORS or ARTIFICIAL COLORS can lower the life expectancy of an atomizer/cartomizer.

BURNT or PEPPERY Taste: Keep your wick and coil wet. Dry wicks and coils can give a burnt or peppery taste and lower the lifetime of your device. A
peppery taste is also a sign that the juice needs to steep longer, or you are getting a small amount of E-Liquid in your mouth from your vaporizer.
PERFUMEY TASTE: Some flavors have a strong scent to them, this is usually eliminated with steeping. If the perfumey taste is still present after steeping,
the e-liquid may need some extra steeping to ‘breathe.’ Remove the cap and dripper tip, store the E-Liquid in a cool dark place (Away from children and
pets) for a couple of days.
