Setting up your card reader
1. Fully power the card reader using the USB cable provided.
2. Download the First Data Pogo>® application from the App StoreSM
or Google PlayTM on your Android or iOS handset and/or tablet.
3. Enable Bluetooth® on your handset and/or tablet – please refer to your
device user manual for instructions.
4. To connect your handset and/or tablet via Bluetooth® to the card reader, turn
on the card reader and wait for the Bluetooth® symbol to start flashing.
Alternatively, simply hold down the green tick for a few seconds until the
Bluetooth symbol starts to flash. Select the card reader name, pair from the
list of local devices on your handset and confirm the connection.
5. Complete a test card payment to finalise the set-up of your card reader. The
Pogo> application and card reader will prompt you through a software update
and remote key injection process, prior to completing the test transaction.
Alternatively, go to the “Settings” menu within the Pogo> application and initiate
the following mandatory actions:
- “Update Keys”
- “Update Software”
It is recommended you connect to Wi-Fi as this set-up may take a few minutes.
6. All done - you’re now ready to start taking card payments!
