USER MANUAL FOR ELBOW CPM
Innova has an ON-OFF switch on the front side of the machine body, a digital display on
top, a four keys pad below it and a panic key. Four keys on key pad are DEL, UP, LOW
and NEXT.
1) Whenever we switch on the machine
It displays
If the splint is not at zero position, it will take initialization first.
After getting the splint at zero degrees it displays
2) Then it displays
Here press and hold UP key to bring the lower splint up so as to suit the
deformity angle of patient OR press LOW key to bring splint down. Adjust splint so as
the patient can put his/her hand comfortably on splint. It will displays the current splint
angle-
3) Adjust length of splint so that patient can grip the front handle comfortably, and height
of stand as per the comfort of patient. Put straps to fix hand on both splints firmly and
press NEXT key
It displays
Press UP/ LOW keys to set desired flexion angle and press NEXT key.
Pressing UP key once will increase angle by one degree, similarly LOW will decrease
angle by one degree. To skip flexion press NEXT directly keeping current position XXX.
4) Now it displays
Press LOW key to set desired extension angle and press NEXT key
5) It displays
Press UP/ LOW keys to set desired angle and press NEXT key
To skip supination and pronation press NEXT key directly on 000DEG
6) It displays
TREATMENT TIME
020 MIN (MAX 60)
Press UP/ LOW keys to set desired timer and press NEXT key to start the process. Here
on this screen of treatment time you can vary speed and adjust hold time. To do so
press and hold DEL key for three sec.
7) It will display
SPEED MEDIUM
Press UP to set FAST speed or press LOW to set SLOW speed. Select speed and press
NEXT key.
8) It will display hold time
HOLD TIME 03 SEC
(MAX 10 SEC)
Press UP/ LOW keys to set desired HOLD TIME and press NEXT key. It will again
display the TREATMENT TIME menu. When you will press NEXT on TREATMENT
TIME menu the process will get started.
9) You can terminate the process in between by pressing DEL, it will stop after
completing ongoing cycle. Always handover panic key to patient which will help him in
unbearable pains. Use ON-OFF switch directly in any extreme conditions to switch OFF
the supply. In that case do remember to remove hand of patient before switching it ON
again, as it will take INITIALIZATION first and become completely straight.
