ALTER TABLE Restrictions for Violations and Diagnostics Tables Keep the following considerations in mind when you use the ALTER TABLE statement in connection with violations and diagnostics tables: ■ You cannot add, drop, or modify a column if the table that contains the column has violations and diagnostics tables associated with it. ■ You cannot alter a violations or diagnostics table. ■ You cannot add a constraint to a violations or diagnostics table. See the START VIOLATIONS TABLE statement on page 1-584 for further information on violations and diagnostics tables.
