Chapter 6. SMS
Printing SMS Messages
If you have turned the automatic printing function off,
use this function to print your SMS messages.
Sending SMS Messages to
E-mail or Fax
(Depending on country and telephone network)

Press W, select print SMS with ¾ and confirm with OK.
You can send SMS messages to an e-mail address or as fax
transmissions to another fax machine.

Use ¾ to select the SMS messages that you would
like to print:
SMS Messages to E-Mail

Press W, select send SMS and confirm with
OK. Enter the text that you would like to send, as
described under Sending SMS Messages.

Press OK. Select E-mail with ¾ and confirm
by pressing OK.

Enter the e-mail address. To enter the @ sign, press
the blue key and ½.
selected—Confirm by pressing OK. Select the
SMS message that you would like to print out by
pressing ¾. Confirm with OK.
new—Confirm by pressing OK. All new messages
will now be printed.
all—Confirm by pressing OK. All SMS messages
stored in the fax memory will now be printed.
You can also access the function print
SMS by pressing MENU/OK, 34 and
¡
OK.
Deleting SMS Messages
Your fax machine can store up to 30 SMS messages. If
the memory is full, no additional SMS messages can be
received. To free up space in the memory, you should
delete some SMS messages.

Press MENU/OK, 33 and OK.

Use ¾ to select the SMS messages that you would
like to delete:
selected—Press OK and use ¾ to select the
SMS message that you would like to delete. Confirm
with OK.
To add more e-mail addresses, press the blue
key and ¼.

Press W to send the SMS message.
SMS Messages to Fax

Press W, select send SMS and confirm with
OK. Enter the text that you would like to send, as
described under Sending SMS Messages.

Press OK. Select Fax with ¾ and confirm
by pressing OK. Enter the number to which you
would like to send the SMS message. You can enter
a number with the number pad or you can select an
entry from the telephone book, the redial list or the
caller list (see Sending SMS Messages).
To add more numbers, press the blue key
and ¼.

Press W to send the SMS message.
already read—Confirm by pressing OK. All
SMS messages that have been read will be deleted.
Advanced Sending Options

will be deleted.
Sending SMS with a Sub-address
With a sub-address, you send an SMS message to a certain fax machine that is connected to a telephone line
along with several other devices. In GB: Append the subaddress to the dialled number For all other countries:
You may have to add a star between the number and the
sub-address (depending on country and telephone network). If the sub-address of the machine is 1, for example, you should dial 123 45 67(*)1.
