Properties of PROFINET devices from SEW-EURODRIVE
PROFINET devices from SEW-EURODRIVE that support acyclical Read record and
Write record services all have the same communication features. In principle, the
devices are controlled via a PROFINET controller with cyclical process data. This controller (usually a PLC) can also access the parameters of the PROFINET device from
SEW-EURODRIVE using the Read record and Write record functions.
In parallel to this parameter setting connection, two connections can be established via
which the first supervisor, for example, can read parameter data in the form of a visualization unit and the second supervisor can configure the PROFINET device via the
engineering software in the form of a notebook.
