Opening Multiple Sessions
wIntegrate allows you to open multiple sessions to the same host or to different hosts, depending on
the communication method being used. If you are using Windows sockets you can open multiple
sessions to the same host; if using a serial connection you can only open one session to a given host.
To open an additional session, click File | Another on the wIntegrate menu. Depending on the
version of wIntegrate one of the following dialog boxes will be displayed:
wIntegrate 3.0
wIntegrate 4.x
Select the WIS or WIC (version 4.x) file for the session you wish to open, then click OK (version 3.0)
or Open (version 4.x).
When you start a wIntegrate session you select a particular configuration file to use. You may also
use the same file to open multiple sessions. However, if you make changes to a session and select
File | Save you will be overwriting any changes you may have saved in another session. For this
reason, it's advisable to have a separate configuration file for each session you may wish to open.
wIntegrate 3.0
wIntegrate 3.0 is a 16-bit application. You can only run a single instance at a time. If you start
wIntegrate, then attempt to start it again, you will receive an error message:
