Advise the user to make sure PicLan is
configured and running properly. Two
PicLan utilities must be working in
order for wIntegrate to work. The
utilities are PLTW.EXE and PLSTATW.EXE.
Run the wIntegrate configuration utility
(wconfig.exe) and add PicLan from the
connection options.
The TCP/IP settings aren’t configured
properly on the user’s PC.
The user hasn’t selected Windows
Sockets as one of the connection
protocols in the wIntegrate configuration
utility.
1.
FTP’s PC/TCP is compatible only with
Windows 3.1 machines.
FTP’s PC/TCP is selected in addition to
other protocols under the wIntegrate
configuration utility.
The file the user is attempting to import
to is currently locked by another
application, e.g. Excel.
1.
1.
Make sure the file is not in use by any
other application.
2.
2.
The user should verify that the TCP/IP
settings are configured properly. (Test
using Telnet to the desired host)
Run the wIntegrate Configuration
utility and add Windows Sockets as
one of the protocols to be used.
Remove others that aren’t necessary.
Advise the user to remove this option
under the wIntegrate Configuration
utility.
Same as above

So many fonts are installed in windows,
wIntegrate is unable to load its IBSfont.

Upgrade to current version of
wIntegrate.
“Unable to find a life - error 0”
1.
wIntegrate version 2.X is unable to find
a “life” on the hard disk where it is
installed.
1.
Numerous different things may cause
this. The easiest thing to do is refer to
the Forcing a Life tech tip.
"Valid name, no data record on
PC"
1.
There is no “Hosts” file on the user’s
PC.
Domain Name Server is not configured
to resolve the name assigned to a given
IP address for a host.
This is a result of wIntegrate attempting
to start WIN.SERVER to invoke Query
Builder. In doing this, it sends the
command “HOST” which is not
recognized at TCL and hence UniData
balks and returns the message.
1.
MICROSOFT TCP/IP requires the
“Hosts” file for name to IP address
resolution.
Have the user enter the full IP address
rather than the host name.
Make sure the host routines are
properly installed and that the user is
trying to run Query Builder at TCL.
2.
“Host is not a verb”
1.
“communications error
network subsystem failed”
1.
This is related to the Network and is not
a wIntegrate problem.
