From underneath the vehicle, remove the
black steel bracket that connects the turbine
outlet elbow (downpipe) to the engine block.
This part will be reused (2 bolts, 14mm
socket). See Fig. 16.

From underneath the vehicle, remove the
heat shield attached to the top side of the
transfer case, behind and below the
turbocharger. This part will be trimmed in
step 49 and reused. Bolts fasten downward
into transfer case (3 bolts, 10mm socket).

Remove the heat shield above the
passenger-side inner driveshaft boot. This
part will be trimmed in step 48 and reused (2
bolts, 10mm socket). See Fig. 18.
