3. Drill the four pilot holes using a 7/32 in. (5.5 mm) diameter drill bit. IMPORTANT: Pilot holes must be drilled to a depth of 3 ½ in. (89 mm). 4. Install the four washers 24 and lag bolts 25 . Tighten all four lag bolts 25 only until the washers 24 are pulled firmly against the wall plate 22 . CAUTION: Improper use could reduce the holding power of the lag bolts 25 .
