6.6.2 Check and fill in engine oil
NOTE
Engine oil based on mineral oil is
hazardous to water. If it penetrates the soil, this may result in
contamination of ground water
and hazardous substances entering the food chain.
–– Do not fill in engine oil at loca tions where an oil spillage can
enter the soil
–– Use an appropriate means to
completely capture and dispose
of any engine oil which over flows according to the regulations.
GP 4000 P (petrol engine)
Fill in engine oil when the level is low. See maintenance
manual for detailed information on how to check and fill in
engine oil for the petrol engine.
Fill in engine oil when the level is low. Only fill in engine oil
which corresponds to the categories E-3, E-4, and E-5 of the
ACEA standard. Maintain the following viscosity values for

Proceed as follows to check and fill in oil:
1.
Ensure that the machine is switched off. If necessary,
allow the engine to cool down.
2. Position the machine so that the engine is in a vertical
position (see Figure 28 “Fill in engine oil”) and secure

and the area around
4.
Unscrew and open oil cap
.
5.
Clean oil dipstick
with a suitable cloth and then
insert oil cap
