Power
In most cases, you will not have to change the
jumper setting on the drive. This jumper can
be set in one of three positions. The factory
setting is Slave. To check the jumper setting:
1. Locate the jumper on the back panel of
your OnStream DI30 (FAST) Drive.
2. If another device attached to the IDE cable
to which you intend to connect your
OnStream Drive is set to Master, you do not
need to change the jumper setting on your
OnStream Drive.
3. If another device attached to the IDE cable
to which you intend to connect your
OnStream Drive is set to Slave or there is
no other device attached to the selected
IDE cable, change the jumper setting on
your OnStream Drive to Master.
4. To change the jumper setting: grasp the
jumper, pull it off the pins, and push it onto
the desired pair of pins. Use small needlenose pliers or tweezers to grasp the jumper
if necessary.
5. ! Do not connect the OnStream Drive on
the primary IDE cable in combination with
a hard disk drive.

• Locate a spare power connector inside

white plastic, and have two black wires,
one red wire, and one yellow wire.

2. Connect the IDE interface connector
• Your computer user’s guide should show
you exactly where the IDE connectors are
located in your computer.
• Locate the required IDE cable, either
Primary or Secondary.
• Find an unused connector on the required
IDE cable.
• Connect the IDE cable’s connector to the
IDE connector on the back of your
OnStream drive. If the indicated IDE cable
has two connectors, you can use either
one.
• Make sure that the IDE cable’s color stripe
is aligned with Pin 1 on your OnStream
drive.

may detect that new hardware, your

installed. Press Cancel and continue to

OnStream Warranty
1. WARRANTY
1.1. Express Warranty. This warranty is only applicable to Drive models of OnStream
Data BV. OnStream Data BV warrants to the end user of the Drive that for the
period of two (2) years, commencing on the date the Drive was purchased (the
“Warranty Period”), the Drive shall be free from defects in materials, parts and
workmanship under normal use and conditions. This warranty does not apply to
hardware - other than the Drive -, software or consumables (such as batteries)
contained in, included or supplied with the Drive. OnStream Data BV makes no
warranty to resellers, dealers or other distributors of the Drives.
1.2. Remedies for Breach of Warranty. In the event of a breach of the foregoing
warranty, OnStream Data BV will, in its sole discretion and at its cost, repair the
non-conforming Drive, replace the non-conforming Drive with a new or
reconditioned Drive, provided that the End User has contacted OnStream Data
Customer Support (see www.onstreamdata.com/support) and a Return Material
Authorisation number (“RMA-number”) is awarded. The end user agrees to pay
freight charges and handling costs, if applicable. The end-user will take care of
proper packaging to prevent any damage to the Drive. OnStream Data BV shall
not be responsible or liable for damage or loss during shipment. Any new or
reconditioned Drive provided pursuant to this paragraph is warranted as provided
herein for the remainder of the original Warranty Period. THE REMEDY SET FORTH
IN THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL BE THE END USER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY
FOR BREACH OF THE FOREGOING WARRANTY.
1.3. Voiding of Warranty. The express warranty set forth above shall not apply to
failure of the Drive if the Drive has been subjected to: (i) Physical abuse, misuse,
improper installation, abnormal use, power failure, or use not consistent with the
operating instructions provided by OnStream Data BV; (ii) Modification or repair
by any party in any manner other than approved by OnStream Data BV including,
but not limited to, tempestizing, ruggedizing, and/or militarizing Drives; (iii) Fraud,
tampering, unusual physical or electrical stress, unsuitable operating or physical
conditions, negligence or accidents; (iv) Removal or alteration of the Drive serial
number tag; or (v) Improper packaging of Drive returns.
1.4. Warranty Disclaimers. THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES HEREIN ARE GIVEN FOR THE
DRIVE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN, ORAL, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS. NO
PERSON (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ONSTREAM DATA BV EMPLOYEES,
AGENTS OR DISTRIBUTORS) IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY OTHER WARRANTY OR
REPRESENTATION CONCERNING THE DRIVE OTHER THAN AS EXPRESS WARRANTY
SET FORTH ABOVE. IF THE DISCLAIMER OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY IS NOT
PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DURATION OF ANY SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTY IS
LIMITED TO NINETY (90) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY. SOME
JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR
LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, SO SUCH
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO THE END USER. OTHER
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS AS SET FORTH HEREIN SHALL STILL APPLY.
2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL ONSTREAM DATA BV BE LIABLE
TO THE END USER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING
OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SALE OR USE OF THE DRIVE (INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFIT, USE, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF DATA, PROGRAMS,
INFORMATION, OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE), HOWEVER IT ARISES,
WHETHER FOR BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING BREACH OF
WARRANTY, OR IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR STRICT
LIABILITY, EVEN IF ONSTREAM DATA BV HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE AND EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY SET FORTH IN
THIS AGREEMENT FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL
ONSTREAM DATA BV’S LIABILITY TO THE END USER OR ANY THIRD PARTY
EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE DRIVE. Because some jurisdictions do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the
above limitations may not apply to the End User. In that case the version of the
invoked limitation or exclusion, which resembles most to the essential purpose
thereof and which is allowed in that jurisdiction, shall apply.

Garantie OnStream
1. GARANTIE DU PRODUIT / STOCKAGE DES DONNEES
1.1. Garantie expresse. Cette garantie s’applique uniquement aux lecteurs OnStream
Data BV. OnStream Data BV garantit à l’utilisateur final du produit de stockage de
données (appelé “produit”) que, pendant une période de deux (2) ans à compter
de la date d’achat du produit (appelée “période de garantie”), le lecteur ne
présentera aucune défaillance dans son matériel, ses pièces et sa procédure de
fabrication dans des conditions normales d’utilisation. Cette garantie ne
s’applique pas aux composants du matériel, hormis le lecteur, au logiciel ou aux
consommables (tels que les piles). OnStream Data BV n’assure pas de garantie
pour les revendeurs, fournisseurs ou les autres distributeurs des lecteurs.
1.2. Compensations après non-respect de la garantie. En cas de non-respect de la
présente garantie, OnStream Data BV s’engage à assurer, à sa seule discrétion et
à ses propres frais, la réparation du lecteur non conforme, à remplacer ledit
produit par un lecteur nouveau ou réparé, dans la mesure où l’utilisateur final a
contacté le service après-vente d’OnStream (voir
www.onstreamdata.com/support) en spécifiant son numéro de retour (RMA).
L’utilisateur final s’engage à payer les frais de transport et d’expédition. Il
incombe à l’utilisateur final d’emballer le lecteur correctement afin de ne pas
l’endommager. OnStream Data BV ne pourra être tenu responsable de dommages
ou pertes survenant au cours de l’expédition.
Tout lecteur, neuf ou reconditionné, fourni dans les conditions stipulées dans ce
paragraphe, est couvert pendant le reste de la période de garantie d’origine. LA
COMPENSATION DEFINIE DANS CE PARAGRAPHE S’APPLIQUE UNIQUEMENT A
L’UTILISATEUR FINAL EN CAS DE NON-RESPECT DE LA PRESENTE GARANTIE.
1.3. Annulation de la garantie. La garantie expressément définie ci-dessus ne
s’applique pas en cas de défaillance du lecteur si ledit lecteur a été soumis à : (i)
un endommagement matériel, une mauvaise utilisation, une installation
inappropriée, une utilisation anormale, une coupure de courant ou une utilisation
non conforme aux instructions de fonctionnement établies par OnStream Data BV
; (ii) une modification ou une réparation effectuée par une partie non approuvée
par OnStream Data BV y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, à une manipulation
brutale et/ou négligente des lecteurs ; (iii) une manipulation frauduleuse, une
altération, une tension physique ou électrique anormale, des conditions physiques
ou de fonctionnement inappropriées, une négligence ou des accidents : (iv) un
effacement ou une altération de la plaque du numéro de série du produit ; ou (v)
un conditionnement inapproprié lors du renvoi du lecteur.
1.4. Exclusion de responsabilité. LES GARANTIES EXPRESSEMENT DEFINIES DANS
LE PRESENT DOCUMENT SONT VALABLES POUR LE LECTEUR EN LIEU ET PLACE
DE TOUTE AUTRE GARANTIE, QU’ELLE SOIT ECRITE, ORALE, EXPRESSE OU
IMPLICITE, Y COMPRIS TOUTE GARANTIE DE VALEUR COMMERCIALE,
D’UTILISATION POUR UN OBJECTIF SPECIFIQUE OU DE NON-VIOLATION DE

1. GARANTIE
1.1. Ausdrückliche Gewährleistung. Diese Garantie gilt ausschließlich für Laufwerke
der Firma OnStream Data BV. OnStream Data BV garantiert dem Endbenutzer des
Laufwerks, dass das Laufwerk ab dem Kaufdatum bei normalem Betrieb und unter
normalen Bedingungen zwei (2) Jahre lang (“Garantiezeitraum”) frei von
Material-, Komponenten- und Bearbeitungsfehlern ist. Die Garantie gilt mit
Ausnahme des Laufwerks selbst nicht für Hardware, Software und
Verbrauchsgüter (z.B. Batterien), die in dem Laufwerk enthalten sind bzw.
mitgeliefert werden. OnStream Data BV leistet gegenüber Wiederverkäufern,
Händlern oder anderen Vertreibern der Laufwerke keine Garantie.
1.2. Rechtsmittel bei Garantieverletzung. Im Falle einer Garantieverletzung der
obigen Garantie repariert oder ersetzt OnStream Data BV nach eigenem Ermessen
und auf eigene Kosten das fehlerhafte Laufwerk durch ein neues oder repariertes
Laufwerk, vorausgesetzt, der Endbenutzer hat sich zuvor mit dem OnStream Data
Customer Support (siehe www.onstreamdata.com/support) in Verbindung gesetzt
und eine “RMA-Nummer” (Return Material Authorisation = ProduktRücksendegenehmigung) erhalten. Der Endbenutzer verpflichtet sich, die
Versandkosten sowie etwaige Bearbeitungskosten zu tragen. Der Endbenutzer hat
eine ordnungsgemäße Verpackung des Laufwerks sicherzustellen, um eine
Beschädigung zu vermeiden. OnStream Data BV ist nicht für Schäden oder Verlust
während des Versands verantwortlich bzw. haftbar. Für alle gemäß diesem Absatz
gelieferten neuen oder reparierten Laufwerke wird für den Rest des
ursprünglichen Garantiezeitraums wie hier beschrieben Garantie geleistet. DAS IN

das Laufwerk (i) unsachgemäßer oder fahrlässiger Behandlung ausgesetzt war,
falsch installiert oder eingesetzt wurde, einem Stromausfall ausgesetzt war oder
unter Bedingungen betrieben wurde, die nicht den von OnStream Data BV
genannten Betriebsanweisungen entsprechen; (ii) im Falle jedweder Änderungen
oder Reparaturen durch Dritte, die nicht von OnStream Data BV genehmigt sind
und zu denen u.a. auch Änderungen der Laufwerke zur Gewährleistung der
Witterungsbeständigkeit, robustere Ausstattung und/oder Änderungen zwecks
Einsatz für militärische Zwecke zählen; (iii) im Falle von Betrug, unsachgemäßer
Handhabung, physikalischen oder elektrischen Spannungszuständen außerhalb
der Norm, ungeeigneten Betriebs- oder physikalischen Bedingungen,
Nachlässigkeit oder Unfällen; (iv) bei Entfernen oder Ändern der Seriennummer
des Laufwerks; oder (v) im Falle ungeeigneter Verpackung bei zurückgesandten
Laufwerken.
1.4. Gewährleistungsauschluss. DIE IN DIESEM DOKUMENT FÜR DAS JEWEILIGE
LAUFWERK AUSDRÜCKLICH GENANNTEN GARANTIEN WERDEN ANSTELLE ALLER
SONSTIGEN SCHRIFTLICHEN, MÜNDLICHEN, AUSDRÜCKLICHEN ODER IMPLIZITEN
GARANTIEN SOWIE ANSTELLE JEGLICHER GARANTIEN FÜR VERKÄUFLICHKEIT,
EIGNUNG FÜR EINEN BESTIMMTEN ZWECK ODER NICHTVERLETZUNG DER

BESONDERE, NEBENSÄCHLICHE SCHÄDEN ODER FOLGESCHÄDEN, DIE SICH AUS
DIESER VEREINBARUNG ODER DEM VERKAUF ODER DER VERWENDUNG DES
LAUFWERKS ERGEBEN (DIES GILT EINSCHLIESSLICH, JEDOCH NICHT
AUSSCHLIESSLICH FÜR ENTGANGENEN GEWINN, NUTZUNGSAUSFALL, DATEN-,
PROGRAMM- UND INFORMATIONSVERLUSTE ODER -SCHÄDEN ODER ANDERE
WIRTSCHAFTLICHE NACHTEILE), UNABHÄNGIG DAVON, OB DIESE SCHÄDEN
AUFGRUND EINES VERSTOSSES GEGEN DIE VEREINBARUNG, EINSCHLIESSLICH
EINER GARANTIEVERLETZUNG, INFOLGE VERTRAGLICHER ODER UNERLAUBTER
HANDLUNGEN (EINSCHLIESSLICH NACHLÄSSIGKEIT) ODER IM RAHMEN DER

KENNTNIS VON DER MÖGLICHKEIT DIESER SCHÄDEN HATTE UND AUCH DANN,
WENN EIN IN DIESER VEREINBARUNG AUFGENOMMENES BESCHRÄNKTES
RECHTSMITTEL SEINEM WESENTLICHEN ZWECK NICHT GENÜGT. DIE HAFTUNG
SEITENS ONSTREAM DATA BV GEGENÜBER DEM ENDBENUTZER ODER DRITTEN
ÜBERSTEIGT IN KEINEM FALL DEN FÜR DAS LAUFWERK GEZAHLTEN PREIS. Da
einige Gesetzgebungen den Ausschluss oder die Beschränkung der Haftung für
Folge- oder Zufallsschäden nicht zulassen, treffen obige Einschränkungen
eventuell nicht auf den Endbenutzer zu. In diesem Fall soll die jeweilige
Einschränkung bzw. der jeweilige Ausschluss in der Fassung gelten, die dem
beabsichtigten Zweck am nächsten kommt und die nach dem jeweiligen Recht
zulässig ist.
Garanzia OnStream
1. GARANZIA DEL PRODOTTO PER LA MEMORIZZAZIONE DEI DATI
1.1. Garanzia esplicita. La presente garanzia si applica esclusivamente ai modelli di
Unità disco OnStream Data BV. OnStream Data BV garantisce all’utente finale
dell’unità che, nel corso del periodo di due (2) anni a decorrere dalla data di
acquisto dell’Unità disco (denominato “periodo di garanzia”), il prodotto non
presenterà alcun difetto nei materiali, nelle parti e di lavorazione in condizioni
d’uso normali. Questa garanzia non è valida per hardware - Unità disco esclusa software o prodotti consumabili (come le batterie) contenuti o forniti con l’Unità
disco. OnStream Data BV non fornisce alcuna garanzia a rivenditori, commercianti
o altri distributori dell’Unità disco.
1.2. Riparazione per violazione di garanzia. Nel caso di violazione della presente
garanzia, OnStream Data BV s’impegna, a sua sola discrezione e a sue spese, a
riparare l’Unità disco difettosa, a sostituire l’Unità disco difettosa con una nuova
o riparata, a patto che l’Utente finale abbia contattato il Supporto clienti di
OnStream Data (vedi www.onstreamdata.com/support) e gli sia stato assegnato
un numero di Autorizzazione al reso (“numero RMA”). L’utente finale s’impegna a
pagare le spese di trasporto e le commissioni, ove applicabile. L’Utente finale
provvederà al corretto imballaggio per prevenire eventuali danni all’Unità disco.
OnStream Data BV non è da ritenersi responsabile per danni o perdite rinvenute
durante la spedizione. Il prodotto nuovo o riparato, conformemente a quanto
dettato in questo paragrafo, è garantito per il resto del periodo di garanzia
iniziale. IL RISARCIMENTO ESPOSTO IN QUESTO PARAGRAFO È L’UNICO E IL SOLO
RISARCIMENTO DI CUI L’UTENTE FINALE POTRÀ AVVALERSI IN CASO DI
VIOLAZIONE DELLA PRESENTE GARANZIA.
1.3. Annullamento della garanzia. La garanzia espressamente definita sopra non è
valida in caso di guasto dell’Unità disco dovuto a: (i) Uso improprio o scorretto,
installazione impropria, uso eccessivo, interruzione di corrente o ad uso non
conforme con le istruzioni di funzionamento fornite da OnStream Data BV; (ii)
Modifica o riparazione effettuata da una qualsiasi delle parti se diversa da quanto
previsto da OnStream Data BV inclusi, ma senza limitazione, i trattamenti per
rendere le Unità disco resistenti alle intemperie e agli urti e adatte all’uso
militare; (iii) Frode, manipolazione, tensione fisica o elettrica anormale, condizioni
fisiche o di funzionamento inadeguate, negligenza o incidenti; (iv) Rimozione o
alterazione dell’etichetta del numero di serie dell’Unità disco; o (v) Imballaggio
improprio dell’Unità disco resa.
1.4. Rinuncia alla garanzia. LE GARANZIE ESPRESSAMENTE DEFINITE NEL PRESENTE
DOCUMENTO SONO VALEVOLI PER L’UNITÀ DISCO IN LUOGO E AL POSTO DI
TUTTE LE ALTRE GARANZIE, SIA SCRITTE CHE ORALI, ESPRESSE O IMPLICITE,
INCLUSA OGNI GARANZIA DI VALORE COMMERCIALE, D’USO PER UNO SCOPO
SPECIFICO O DI NON VIOLAZIONE DEI DIRITTI DI TERZE PARTI. NESSUNA
PERSONA (TUTTI INCLUSI E SENZA LIMITAZIONI, DIPENDENTI, AGENTI O
DISTRIBUTORI ONSTREAM DATA BV) È AUTORIZZATA A REDIGERE UN’ALTRA
GARANZIA O TITOLO DI RAPPRESENTANZA CONCERNENTE IL PRODOTTO
DIVERSO DALLA GARANZIA ESPRESSAMENTE DEFINITA SOPRA. QUALORA LA
RINUNCIA ALLA GARANZIA IMPLICITA NON FOSSE CONSENTITA DALLA LEGGE,
LA DURATA DI UNA TALE GARANZIA IMPLICITA SARÀ LIMITATA A NOVANTA (90)
GIORNI A PARTIRE DALLA DATA DI CONSEGNA. ALCUNE GIURISDIZIONI NON
AUTORIZZANO L’ESCLUSIONE DI GARANZIE IMPLICITE O LE LIMITAZIONI SULLA
DURATA DI UNA GARANZIA IMPLICITA. PERTANTO QUESTE LIMITAZIONI O
ESCLUSIONI POSSONO NON ESSERE APPLICATE ALL’UTENTE FINALE. ALTRE
LIMITAZIONI O ESCLUSIONI QUI ESPRESSE RESTANO ANCORA IN ESSERE.
2. LIMITAZIONE DI RESPONSABILITÀ. IN NESSUN CASO SI DOVRÀ RITENERE
RESPONSABILE LA ONSTREAM DATA BV, NEI CONFRONTI DELL’UTENTE FINALE O
DI TERZE PARTI, PER QUALSIASI DANNO INDIRETTO, SPECIALE, INCIDENTALE O
EMERGENTE, CONNESSO O RISULTANTE DA QUESTO ACCORDO OPPURE DALLA
VENDITA O USO DELL’UNITÀ (INCLUSI, MA SENZA LIMITAZIONI, LA PERDITA DI
PROFITTO, DEI DIRITTI D’USO, PERDITA O CORRUZIONI DI DATI, PROGRAMMI,
INFORMAZIONI O ALTRI VANTAGGI ECONOMICI), QUALUNQUE NE SIA LA CAUSA,
PER ROTTURA DEL PRESENTE CONTRATTO, INCLUSA VIOLAZIONE DI GARANZIA,
SU BASE CONTRATTUALE O PER ATTO ILLECITO (NEGLIGENZA COMPRESA), PER
STRETTA RESPONSABILITÀ, ANCHE NEL CASO IN CUI LA ONSTREAM DATA BV SIA
STATA PRECEDENTEMENTE AVVISATA DELLA POSSIBILITÀ DI TALE DANNO E UNA
RIPARAZIONE LIMITATA PREVISTA NEL PRESENTE CONTRATTO NON SIA
SUFFICIENTE PER IL CASO SPECIFICO. IN NESSUN CASO LA RESPONSABILITÀ
DELLA ONSTREAM DATA BV NEI CONFRONTI DELL’UTENTE FINALE O DI TERZE
PARTI SUPERERÀ IL PREZZO PAGATO PER L’UNITÀ. Dal momento che alcune
giurisdizioni non autorizzano l’esclusione o la limitazione della responsabilità per
danni emergenti e incidentali, le limitazioni sopra esposte possono non essere

Garantía de OnStream
1. GARANTIA
1.1. Garantía expresa. Esta garantía únicamente cubre los modelos de Unidades de
OnStream Data BV. OnStream Data BV garantiza al Usuario final de la Unidad
que, durante el periodo de dos (2) años a partir de la fecha de adquisición de la
Unidad (en adelante, el “Periodo de garantía”), dicha Unidad no presentará
defectos en sus materiales, piezas y fabricación en condiciones y uso normales.
Esta garantía no cubre el hardware (aparte de la Unidad), el software ni los
elementos de consumo contenidos, incluidos o proporcionados con la Unidad.
OnStream Data BV no ofrece garantía a vendedores, proveedores o demás
distribuidores de las Unidades.
1.2. Recursos ante el incumplimiento de la garantía. En el caso de
incumplimiento de esta garantía, OnStream Data BV reparará, a su exclusiva
discreción y coste, la Unidad defectuosa o la sustituirá por una nueva o reparada,
siempre y cuando el Usuario final se haya puesto en contacto con el Servicio de
Atención al Cliente de OnStream Data (www.onstreamdata.com/support) y haya
obtenido un número de autorización de materiales devueltos (RMA, Return
Material Authorisation). El Usuario final se compromete a pagar los gastos de
transporte y tramitación oportunos. El Usuario final embalará debidamente la
Unidad para evitar que sufra daños durante su transporte. OnStream Data BV no
asumirá responsabilidad alguna por daños o pérdida durante el envío. Cualquier
Unidad nueva o reparada proporcionada de conformidad con este apartado estará
en garantía según lo dispuesto en este documento durante el plazo que reste al
Periodo de garantía original. EL RECURSO ESTIPULADO EN ESTE APARTADO SERÁ
EL RECURSO ÚNICO Y EXCLUSIVO PARA EL USUARIO FINAL ANTE EL
INCUMPLIMIENTO DE ESTA GARANTÍA.
1.3. Anulación de la garantía. La garantía estipulada anteriormente no se aplicará a
defectos de la Unidad en circunstancias que ésta se somete a: a) maltrato, uso o
instalación incorrectos y anormales, corte del suministro eléctrico o no
observancia de las instrucciones de funcionamiento proporcionadas por OnStream
Data BV; b) modificación o reparación por parte de cualquier entidad que no
corresponda a la aprobada por OnStream Data BV, incluidos, pero sin limitarse a,
el cambio drástico, refuerzo o militarización de las Unidades: c) fraude, alteración,
carga física o eléctrica no habitual, condiciones físicas o de funcionamiento
inadecuadas, negligencia o accidentes; d) supresión o alteración de la etiqueta del
número de serie de la Unidad; o e) embalaje inadecuado de la Unidad devuelta.
1.4. Renuncia a la garantía. LAS GARANTÍAS EXPRESAS DE ESTE DOCUMENTO SE
OTORGAN PARA LA UNIDAD SUSTITUYENDO A CUALESQUIERA GARANTIAS, YA
SEAN ESCRITAS, ORALES, EXPRESAS O IMPLÍCITAS, INCLUIDA CUALQUIER
GARANTÍA DE COMERCIALIZACIÓN, IDONEIDAD PARA FINES ESPECÍFICOS O NO
VIOLACIÓN DE DERECHOS DE TERCEROS. NINGÚN INDIVIDUO (INCLUIDO, PERO
SIN LIMITARSE A, EMPLEADOS DE ONSTREAM DATA BV, AGENTES Y
DISTRIBUIDORES) TIENE AUTORIDAD PARA REALIZAR CUALQUIER OTRA
GARANTÍA O DECLARACIÓN RELACIONADA CON LA UNIDAD QUE NO
CORRESPONDA A LA GARANTÍA ESTIPULADA ANTERIORMENTE. SI LA RENUNCIA
A CUALQUIER GARANTÍA IMPLÍCITA NO FUESE PERMITIDA POR LA LEY, LA
DURACIÓN DE DICHA GARANTÍA IMPLÍCITA SE LIMITARÁ A NOVENTA (90) DÍAS
A PARTIR DE LA FECHA DE ENTREGA. DADO QUE ALGUNAS JURISDICCIONES NO

2. LIMITACIÓN DE RESPONSABILIDAD. EN NINGÚN CASO ONSTREAM DATA BV
SERÁ RESPONSABLE ANTE EL USUARIO FINAL O TERCEROS POR DAÑOS
INDIRECTOS, EXTRAORDINARIOS, INCIDENTALES O TRASCENDENTALES
RELACIONADOS U ORIGINADOS POR ESTE ACUERDO O LA VENTA O USO DE LA
UNIDAD (INCLUIDO, PERO SIN LIMITARSE A, LA PÉRDIDA DE GANANCIAS, USO,
PÉRDIDA O DAÑOS CAUSADOS A DATOS, PROGRAMAS, INFORMACIÓN U OTRAS
VENTAJAS ECONÓMICAS), CUALQUIERA QUE SEA SU ORIGEN, YA SEA POR
INCUMPLIMIENTO DE ESTE ACUERDO, INCLUIDO EL INCUMPLIMIENTO DE LA
GARANTÍA, O POR CONTRATO O AGRAVIO (INCLUIDA LA NEGLIGENCIA), O
RESPONSABILIDAD ABSOLUTA, INCLUSO SI ANTERIORMENTE SE HUBIESE
NOTIFICADO A ONSTREAM DATA BV LA POSIBILIDAD DE DICHO DAÑO O QUE UN
RECURSO LIMITADO ESTIPULADO EN ESTE ACUERDO NO CUMPLIESE SU
PROPÓSITO FUNDAMENTAL. EN NINGÚN CASO LA RESPONSABILIDAD DE
ONSTREAM DATA BV ANTE EL USUARIO FINAL O TERCEROS EXCEDERÁ EL
PRECIO PAGADO POR LA UNIDAD. Dado que algunas jurisdicciones no permiten

Causa posible

Solución
1. Asegúrese de que los cables IDE y de alimentación estén bien conectados a la unidad.
2. Compruebe si los cables IDE y de alimentación están dañados.
3. Repita el proceso de instalación de la unidad.
Asegúrese de que el puente de OnStream esté configurado
La unidad tiene un conflicto con otro dispositivo del mismo
Cable IDE.
• Intente configurar la unidad OnStream como el dispositivo Esclavo y el otro
dispositivo como Maestro.
• Conecte la unidad OnStream a un cable IDE diferente.
Si las operaciones de respaldo tardan más de lo normal y el ordenador se suele ralentizar cuando hay un respaldo en curso, es posible que se esté ejecutando un programa antivirus con la
exploración en tiempo real activada. Ésta podría ser la causa del rendimiento lento del ordenador. Para mejorarlo, desactive la exploración en tiempo real de la aplicación antivirus. Para
