OPEN Argon tank with key (anticlockwise) Ensure tank is open to 5 psi Place specimens in chamber Turn operation switch to PUMP – chamber will pump to 0.07 Torr OPEN LEAK VALVE 1 revolution ANTICLOCKWISE and quickly CLOSE again When gauge returns to 0.07 Torr, REPEAT step 4. Turn operation switch to SET HT Set HT CONTROL to 1.2 kV OPEN LEAK VALVE slowly ANTICLOCKWISE to 40 mA Turn operation switch to TIMER. Set TIMER to 2 minutes by depressing knob and rotating CLOCKWISE Activate TIMER by pressing black button When coating is finished: set LEAK VALVE to 0 turn HT CONTROL to OFF Turn operation switch to OFF Bleed chamber by lifting valve in top plate Remove specimens CLOSE Argon tank with key (clockwise) © Bio-Imaging, SWDSOP, 2004
