Lever/Lever Operation To lock (from inside or outside) 1.Close the door firmly to engage the latch (do not depress handle) 2.Lift the lever up to throw the hooks to locked position 3. Turn the key to deadlockLOCK LOCK UNLOCK LOCK To unlock (from inside or outside) 1. 2. 3. IN OUTSIDE Turn the key to unlock the deadbolt UNLOCK Push lever down to disengage the hooks and latch Open the door OUTSIDE UNLOCK LATCH RETA BUTTON (O INSIDE To unlock (from outside) 1.Turn the key to withdraw deadlock “unlock” (let go of key) UNLOCK 2. Push lever down to disengage the hooks only (let go of lever) OUTSIDE LOCK 3. Turn key again in same direction to disengage the latch I LOCK UNLOCK UNLOCK IN OUTSIDE INSIDE UNLOCK LOCK UNLOCK LATCH RETA BUTTON (O To unlock (from inside) Follow lever/lever instructions above. INSIDE 62 92 Latch retainment OUTSIDE If your handle is fitted with the optional latch retainer button – LOCK To hold the latch: Withdraw latch and hold, slide snib on faceplate upwards. Latch is held. To release: Slide snib downwards. UNLOCK LATCH RETAINER BUTTON (OPTIONAL) OUTSIDE NOTE: DEADLOCK MECHANISM WILL NOT WORK ON EITHER LOCK TYPE UNLESS THE HOOK MECHANISM IS FULLY EXTENDED.
